Driving For My New Job

Posted on November 7th, 2011 by charlie

After getting engaged last month, my boyfriend and I realised that if we were really going to make our relationship work we needed to move to the same area. We met on the interrnet, so our relationship has always been long distance. I lived down South and he had his own business in Yorkshire, so I knew that it made sense for me to move rather than him. I was very lucky in finding a job in a short amount of time, but the one problem was that I needed to learn to drive so that I could actually get to my new workplace. I have had driving lessons before, but after I failed my test for the third time I decided to give up. Now I was much more focused on passing because I had to, so I got in touch with www.cheapdrivingschoolssouthwoodford.co.uk, a driving school that my friend recommended. They were great and I’m happy to say that I have now passed my test.

Great having people to rely on

Posted on November 2nd, 2011 by charlie

I am very fortunate to be in a position to build an extension on our family home. I have worked very hard over the past year to build my business up into a success story, but I am definitely lucky it has gone well. There have been plenty of very professional and talented people involved in the success as well.

For example, when I opened my new office in Leeds I needed people I could rely on. I am not in the city most of the time, as my main office and home is in Hull, but once I had the right people in place, I knew I could relax and rely on them. The accounting side of things is taken care of by http://www.localaccountantsleeds.co.uk, and they have been brilliant. Everything is run smoothly and I really don’t have to worry about a thing. The same can be said for my extension. We are having rooms added upstairs and downstairs, but everything is running very smoothly.

Sending My Brother Eco

Posted on November 1st, 2011 by charlie

My brother was lucky enough to be able to build his own home. He worked with an architect to design the house that was perfect for him and his partner, something I would love to be able to do myself. Going eco-friendly was not necessarily top of his list of priorities, but I persuaded him to look into getting solar panels fitted to the roof. I felt if he was building a home for the future, he should really embrace this new trend for generating electricity. The issue of energy sources is something we are all going to have to think about in the future, and a home that can power itself is definitely the way forward.

My brother is not the type of person who worries about the environment, but when I told him he could save money on his bills, his ears pricked up. He found http://www.solarpvbradford.co.uk and never looked back. My brother can be difficult to please but this company is the leading company in the area for this type of work and their professionalism and knowledge filled him with confidence.

He is now really pleased I persuaded him to go eco with his new home, and he has convinced me to do the same at my home in Congleton. I never really thought you could fix solar panels to any old home, but I found http://www.solarpanelinstallationcongleton.co.uk and the work is set to go ahead any day now.

New Way to Power Your Home

Posted on November 1st, 2011 by charlie

Getting solar panels fitted to your home definitely seems to be the in thing these days. We had been thinking about it for a while for our home in York before we finally decided to go ahead. Energy prices are so high these days, and we are all always thinking about the environment as well. I think we only put it off so long because I was worried about the disruption it would cause getting them fitted.

We didn’t really know where to start looking to get the job done, when a friend recommended http://www.solarpanelinstallersyork.co.uk.

There was very little disruption getting the panels fitted and now I am very proud to see them on the roof of my home. We are looking forward to seeing our fuel bill savings in the future as well.

Specialist Companies

Posted on October 26th, 2011 by charlie

I think that it’s always better to consult professional companies rather than jack of all trades. I am currently doing a lot of temping work in a few differnt industires and I have needed to find companies who had the expertise and experience to help with specialist tasks. the first thing that i needed to find for one job I was at was a company who specialised in industrial control systems. I looked online and was lucky to find http://www.industrialcontrolsystemssheffield.co.uk/. They have a wealth of experience in the industry and I would highly recommend them becasue their service was excellent.

Mum\’s 70th

Posted on August 22nd, 2011 by charlie

When my Mum broke her hip last year, she had to get used to adapting certain parts of her life. She has always been very independent, and I know that it was very difficult for her to finally admit that she needed some help at home. One day she told me that she was really struggling, and she could do with some day to day help with certain tasks at home. I looked online for a company who could help her, and found www.homecareskipton.co.uk. They specialise in helping people who want to stay in their own home with professional care. They have been fantastic, and I know that my Mum has really appreciated all of the help.

She turned 70 last week, and we decided to throw a big party to celebrate. All of her friends and family where invited, and we had a wonderful night. The best thing for me was the food, which came from www.bbqcateringleeds.co.uk. It was delicious.

Trademarking my new product \’SinkFriend\’

Posted on August 22nd, 2011 by charlie

I embarked upon launching my new invention, however first I needed to trademark my product to prevent any abuse of copyright. I got in touch with www.trademarkservicessheffield.co.uk a consultation on trademarking 'SinkFriend' – the new electronic shower head style sink cleaning brush powered electronically to clean the sink for you with just the touch of a button!

Through the company I managed to arrange a product launch which proved a huge success with buyers and the product got alot of interest. I must also mention that we had fantastic food provided by www.eventcateringleeds.co.uk!

The trademark solicitors agreed to trademark SinkFriend to which I am eternally grateful as other products have attempted to compete with SinkFriend. Without the trademarking service I have acquired, the amount of sales I gained would be a very slight percentage of the success they have made so far.

Our old house

Posted on July 21st, 2011 by charlie

Last year we decided to sell our house for something bigger as the family was growing and we were finding it hard to breathe. In the same month my husband noticed the slate was falling off our roof. After taking a closer look we realised it would need to be replaced. With the worry of selling our house and now this I was so stressed. After looking around, my husband found out about http://www.roofingmerchantshull.co.uk/, they were very helpful and gave us a quote for our slate, plus lots of advice. After it was fitted it was a great weight off my mind. Then we could deal with selling the house.

A New Start

Posted on June 14th, 2011 by charlie

I have to admit that I am naturally a very lazy person. I cut corners as much as I can, I am, as my father would say “work shy”. After my girlfriend broke up with me a couple of months ago because of my lack of ambition, I realised that my laziness was also affecting my happiness. I didn’t want to be lazy anymore, so I decided to take charge. I have always been interested in being a paramedic, but I think that my self confidence has held me back. I thought that is there were some taster lessons that I could take, I could see whether it would be a good career move for me. I looked online and found www.healthandsafetycoursesleeds.co.uk. There course gave me a great introduction, and really helped me realise that it was something that I wanted to do. I am planning on applying to be a paramedic next year.

Flying The Nest

Posted on June 6th, 2011 by charlie

My son is leaving home and moving in with one of his best friends, and I don’t know how, but I have been left to do most of the organising! They have found a lovely little flat in the city centre, but there is still a lot of things that need to be arranged before they can move in. When we bought our house last year, we called in www.energyperformancecertificatesbrighouse.co.uk to survey the property and its energy efficiency. I thought that this was definitely something that my son should get for his new flat, so that he can see areas where they could be paying a lot for their energy and ways that they could change their habits or even ask for new equipment from their landlord. The company came and carried out a really thorough survey, and luckily the results were very good and the energy efficiency was really good.
