I love going to concerts, and last month I went to see McFly at the NEC. I’m not the biggest fan of the band, but my daughter is and she really enjoyed the show. We were looking for somewhere near the NEC where we could go to eat, and we really wanted to go somewhere different rather than the usual chain restaurants that you find around stadiums. I looked online and found www.gastropubsnecbirmingham.co.uk. Their website looked great so we decided to go there for an early dinner before the show.

When I looked at the calendar I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. In just under a month my wife and I would have been married 25 years. Craziness! I wanted to do something really special for her, so I could show her just how much I appreciated everything she’d done for me over the last two and a half decades.

We’d been to a lot of restaurants in Stafford in the years we’d been living here, but I wanted to take her somewhere different for our anniversary. I settled on www.frenchrestaurantsstafford.co.uk for the big event, as she’s loved the food when we’d been on holiday to France a few years ago. (more…)
