I don’t understand why people do such destructive things for no reason. Last week I was so upset when I found out that my car had been keyed. It’s so strange that people would do acts of vandalism for no particular reason. I felt quite shocked initially, but once I had calmed down I decided that I should get the damage repaired rather than getting angry every time I looked at it. When I decided to move to London, I knew that the most sensible thing to do would be to sell my car. I wouldn’t need it anymore and the money would help me cover some of my debts. It’s funny the ways that cars can get dented. I was at the supermarket a couple of weeks ago and when I came back from finishing my shop, there was a dent in the side of my car. At first I thought that I must have dented it and not realised, and then I realised that I was parked next to the trolley bank and the dent had been caused by a trolley smashing into the side of my car. I don’t want to sound like a male chauvinist, but my wife really isn’t a very good driver. I do not know how she passed her test (well, I did take her 7 attempts). When my son turned 17, I was trying to stay very cool, but in reality I was completely terrified that he was able to drive! The worst thing about was knowing that he would have to learn in my car which I saved up for years to buy. I couldn’t stop my son from learning, so I had to let it go and stop worrying. When I first passed my driving test I did the usual thing of buying an old banger just so I had something cheap to get around in. It worked brilliantly for a while, but after a while things started to go wrong on it. There was nothing huge, but the wing mirror was a bit wobbly, and the brakes gears were getting temperamental.
