Jewellery Repair Saves Summer Holiday

Posted on August 11th, 2011 by charlie

It was a perfect two week period for me and my wife as we were celebrating our tenth wedding anniversairy. We were on the verge of setting off to Pembrokeshire in Wales to stay in a beautfiul local retreat. This is when I single handedly nearly spoilt the whole trip after months of careful planning! We were going to be away on the day of our anniversairy and I had bought her a pure gold plated necklace I spotted her looking at longingly a few months back.

As I was packing my suit case two days before we were due to drive down to Wales. I managed to drop the necklace on the floor without noticing and stood on it breaking the necklace in two places in the process. I was so angry with myself and didn’t know what to do. The following morning at work on my last day at the office before the trip I was angirly recounting the tale to my colleagues, this is where my PA Neil became a hero (at least in my eyes!). He told me about a friend in a similar situation to mine and that he had gone to a jewellers in the area and had his smashed watch repaired cheaply within an hour. The jewellers were www.jewelleryrepairslewisham.co.uk.

Legal Help

Posted on July 7th, 2011 by charlie

I was in an unfortunate altercation a few months ago on a night out that has turned into a bit of a nightmare. I was drunk and out in Swansea with my friends when my girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend decided to start on me. I am not a violent person, but due to the booze and the incredibly offensive things that he was saying, I found it very hard to ignore him. He was threatening to hurt my girlfriend, and that is when I hit him. I turned into a big fight, and we were both badly hurt. I thought that that would be the end of it, but a few weeks later I was handed a court summons, which meant that he was pressing charges against me. I couldn’t believe it, especially as he had provoked me. I needed legal representatives who would help me get through this difficult time, and luckily I found www.criminalsolicitorsswansea.co.uk.

Preparing Our Home

Posted on June 14th, 2011 by charlie

I know that my Mum was really upset when she realised that she couldn’t live on her own anymore. She has always been really independent, but she is in her late seventies, and she has had a run of bad illness that has really affected her. She had to swallow her pride, and she moved in with us. Before she moved in, we really wanted to make sure our house was in the best condition for her. We have been saying for years that we should get double glazing to improve the insulation in our house. With my Mum moving and all of her health issues, we thought that now would be the time to finally sort it all out. We got a great quote from www.doubleglazingcarmarthen.co.uk, and they came and installed the new windows for us.

Busy Busy Busy!

Posted on May 9th, 2011 by charlie

I was so excited when I got promoted at work, but I think that I perhaps underestimated the amount of work and responsibility that came with it! I work in property management, and I was promoted to the manager of an office block in the centre of Cardiff. There are ten companies with offices in the building, so it takes a lot of co-ordinating to make sure that everyone is happy with the facilities and their office. Disaster struck in my first week when we found out that there were issues with the building’s roof. We have regular companies who we use, but they were unable to help, so I called on a company that I knew was good,  www.industrialroofersnewport.co.uk. They were my absolute heroes! They were able to come straight away, and had all of the work finished in next to no time.

Sewing Machine Repairs in Barry

Posted on March 7th, 2011 by charlie

I have always altered clothes for my friends and family, but I never thought of it as a career. When I was made redundant from my job, I thought about a career that I would really enjoy, and decided that I should definitely consider offering tailoring services. I created a business plan and managed to get a loan, and invested in some second hand sewing machines. The machines were working really well until one day when one of the them jammed and stopped working. I had promised that an order would be finished within the week, so I needed help fast. I looked online and luckily I found www.sewingmachinerepairsbarry.co.uk.

Holidays in Wales

Posted on February 23rd, 2011 by Sandy

As a family we love to holiday outdoors in the UK.  While many people seem to have a fascination with foreign shores and guaranteed sunshine we are more than happy to take our chances in the UK and explore some of the glorious countryside that this country has to offer.  This year we are looking at going to Wales.  A close family friend has recommended www.campingholidaysdolgellau.co.uk and www.holidayparkssaundersfoot.co.uk, so we decided to spend a week in each location. My husband and I have been wanting to move house for some time now.  We have been looking for a larger house with a garden for the children.  We have three boys and they need somewhere to run off all the energy they have.  It has taken a lot of searching for, but we have eventually found the perfect property and it was under budget. Electrical Contractors in Swansea

Posted on February 18th, 2011 by charlie

I needed to find an experienced electrical contractor who could rewire my house for me, but it is very difficult to find excellent electricians who you can trust. I have been burned by unreliable tradesmen before, so I always like to find people who have been recommended by people who I trust. My brother recently had some electrical work done, and he said that he couldn’t fault the service that he received from www.electricalcontractorsswansea.co.uk. They are a really experienced and professional company and he said that they lived up to, and exceeded, all of their promises.
