Anybody who has planned a wedding from start to finish completely understands how stressful the whole process is. For me, it’s the relying on other people to deliver on the day that’s the problem. Maybe I am just a pessimist but I love to do things myself so I know that they have been done on time and in the correct way! You can imagine how lucky my husband to be is……

I have sorted out the majority of the organisation for the big day and I am now left with the wedding flowers, bridesmaid dresses and table decorations to plan. Choosing the perfect wedding dress has to be every girls dream doesn’t it?

My boyfriend, (well fiancé now!) proposed to me last year after being together for four years. I am positive that he’s the one so I immediately said yes and agreed to be his wife! All sounds very formal doesn’t it!

Whilst it’s easy to get carried away in the entire stigma surrounding the wedding, I’m finding it very difficult to stay within my budget now! I’m normally really good with sticking to budgets as I see it as a challenge but I think I’m going through the very common ‘wedding fever’ stage!

The main thing which seems to be taking over my budget is the wedding dress. I almost expected this to happen anyway but I can’t believe how overcome I seem to get with the prospect of buying a dress!

My daughter is getting married and I realise that I now need to start saving up.
