My twin daughters Sally and Amy have always been beautiful. I know I’m biased because I’m their mum, but they really are lovely, and plenty of other people have told me that they are. They were always so proud to be identical twins, but at the same time they have a fierce rivalry. If one of them gets a haircut and the other doesn’t, the one that hasn’t will get jealous and suddenly believe she’s ugly. It’s all ridiculous, of course, but that’s twins for you!

We were all so proud of my brother when he got a job working at one of the most famous investment banks in London. We are from a small town and London seemed very glamorous. My brother was very excited by the move and his new job. His work was very demanding and he ended up working very long hours and getting very little sleep. The problem was further worsened by how he was spending his new high salary; he had started taking a lot of drugs. We all had absolutely no idea until he came home for a week during summer and looked like a different person. He was a shadow of his former self and all the pressure from his job had really got to him. He pretended that he was ok for a couple of days until he broke down at the dinner table and told us what was wrong. My sister is always pushing me to be more of a girly girl. I’ve been a tomboy all my life and she’s never been able to understand it. While we were growing up she was putting on make-up and I was out playing football. Last weekend I had been feeling rather poorly for the past few days. I was in one of those moods where you end up feeling sorry for yourself all day long!

Its always a case of you know you shouldn’t be sat there feeling sorry for yourself as there are so many people worse off, but in reality, its satisfying to do it!

But by the time it had got to Sunday night, I felt terrible. Ever since I had started with the bug I had been taking paracetomol but I was starting to think they weren’t doing the trick at all.

I have had the same mobile hairdresser now for years but recently I started to question her work! The lady that I use for my hair used to work at the local hair salon near my house. But since having a baby, she went mobile and continued to move around to build up her own clients.

I was really pleased that she had even gone mobile to start with as I feared who would cut my hair as good as she has previously! However, for the past few times, I have been left feeling quite disappointed with how she has cut and coloured my hair. Firstly my cut was slightly uneven and secondly it seemed as though she couldn’t wait to get finished so she could go out!

Now that’s all well and good but if you’re paying good money, you at least want a decent hair cut!
