There’s something really special about local pubs, I always think. When they’re done right, they’re cosy and welcoming, and you can always find somebody to have a chat with.

It’s funny how excited you can get about a weekend away, but when you’ve had so much on, it can be an absolute lifesaver.

My sister and I had both been completely snowed under at work for the past couple of weeks, and the only thing which was keeping me going was the weekend break we’d booked in Hertfordshire.
