Off on my hols

Posted on May 25th, 2011 by charlie

I am so excited.  We have been so very busy at work and home life has been hectic too.  I just need to get away from it all for a while.  So, I have booked a holiday at www.dogfriendlycottageslooe.co.uk

This is a fantastic place.  I have been before and what I love is that I can take along Goldie my labrador.  She loves this place too as it is so dog friendly and I don't have to worry about leaving her at home.

We will be able to go for long walks and forget all about home and work for a while.

It also gives me a chance to start thinking about the weeks ahead.  There is so much coming up.  I have a couple of weddings to go to, including my sister's wedding.  This should be great fun.  I have been helping her plan it for some time and one of my ideas was to have a hog roast in the evening.  I have been to weddings before when they have done this and it has always gone down really well.

I found out about a really good company for this: www.hogroastsedinburgh.co.uk

We have loads of old friends coming to the wedding so it will be a great chance to catch up and see what people look like now.  I love that about meeting upo with people you haven't seen for a while.  My only hope is that I haven't changed too much and that they all recognise me.  I may be a few pounds heavier now.  That's another thing I have to think about: losing a few pounds so that I look good in my bridesmaid's dress.  I told my sister I thought I was a little old to play the role of bridesmaid, but she was intent on me supporting her on her big day and wearing a birdemaid's dress!  At least I like the one she has chosen.

Local Vets Wrexham

Posted on March 2nd, 2011 by Sandy

We got a puppy last year after finally giving in to pressure from the kids.  I have to admit that we all love the new addition to our family and wouldn’t be without him now.  He has recently developed a bit of a limp though and I needed to get him checked out by a vet.  We are new to the area and I didn’t know any vets.  Thankfully a few neighbours recommended http://www.localvetsinwrexham.co.uk/ Read the rest of this entry »

Sports Injury Bristol

Posted on February 16th, 2011 by Sandy

I am so annoyed with myself.  I was playing tennis the other day and felt something go in my back.  It is really painful, but what is especially annoying is the fact that I am supposed to be taking part in a fun run for charity later this month and desperately want to be able to take part.  Thankfully I know a really good clinic for sports injury treatment: www.sportsinjurybristol.co.uk Read the rest of this entry »

Real Ale Pubs Hitchin

Posted on February 16th, 2011 by Sandy

Having gone to do the weekly supermarket shop over the weekend, I must admit that I’m partial to taking a stroll down the beers, wines and spirits aisle to see what there may be on offer! Don’t get me wrong, I am not a manic beer lover but do enjoy a good pint in pubs in Hitchin from time to time. Read the rest of this entry »
