I am getting married in a couple of months and there’s so much still to sort out. Thanks to a close friend I now have my wedding video sorted out. She recommended www.weddingvideoschelmsford.co.uk and I have met with the company and am really impressed with their wedding videos. I booked them straight away. Read the rest of this entry »

I am getting married later this year and am so excited about the whole thing. However, it is very daunting: the amount of things that need to be organised and paid for! One of the things I haven’t sorted out yet is our wedding car. I want something really unusual and not too expensive. My chief bridesmaid got married last year and suggested using: www.weddingcarsinglasgow.co.uk Read the rest of this entry »

Looking back, I think I must have been a bit mad, but one day I decided to organise a surprise wedding my my financee. We’d been engaged for a while, but we always had other things to spend the money on. She was getting quite down about it, so I decided to throw caution to the wind and just do it.
Organising it was a nightmare. I had to get her best friend to choose a dress, but everything else was down to me. It was like an episode of ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’, only scarily real. I had organised most of the important parts of the day, with the help of family and friends, but the flowers were causing me problems. I called www.flowershopssouthampton.co.uk to discuss the matter. A lot of my friends went to uni for the drinking, the socialising and the boys. I went to uni because I was desperate to graduate. I couldn’t wait to don the cap and gown and walk on stage to get my certificate.
Finally, after three years of slogging at my History of Art degree I was ready to graduate with first class honours. I was so proud. I wanted to look my best so I asked my mum to get me some special earrings from www.designerjewellerybishopsstortford.co.uk as my graduation gift. Read the rest of this entry »

I am looking for a dress maker to help me get ready for my special day! I think every girl dreams of how wonderful their dress will be but when the realisation actually comes, it all seems very surreal.
Being a typical woman, I have trawled the streets of London for dresses which I want to be perfect for my wedding day. However, I am yet to find one which meets my exact criteria! Having so long to think about the perfect dress, I think every girl has a specific idea in their head as to what style and cut will suit them the best. With this in mind, I don’t think I will ever find ‘the dress’ on my own accord!
I looked online as a bit of a last resort to be honest as I had had enough of walking round shops which were completely useless. I found a website called www.dressmakerscentrallondon.co.uk….. I was very impressed with what I found. Read the rest of this entry »

Not long now until Mark and I tie the knot and I’m undertaking the all-important task of choosing the wedding cake.
A friend had a lovely wedding last summer at a beautiful farmhouse just outside Grimsby. They ordered a beautiful minimalist cake from www.weddingcakesgrimsby.co.uk. Read the rest of this entry »

This October my beautiful fiancée and me are going to tie the knot. Now with me being the typical man I have not really had much to do when it comes to organising the big day.
This to me was a blessing as it meant I could not do anything to ruin the big day or upset my fiancée. However one of her friends drew this to her attention and so my fiancée felt I needed to make a contribution to the big day. So she left me with organising the wedding car.
This meant all I had to do was research into wedding car hire in Basildon. Read the rest of this entry »

Upon arriving at possible venues to hold my wedding next summer, I instantly knew that this was the place I was going to become a married man. The venue itself was a small, cottage like hotel with a boutique and contemporary feel to it. The rooms were relatively small for during the day but there was a gorgeous, big marquee attached to the back of the hotel, making it a complete selling point for me.
I have never really been a fan of wedding marquees in Bristol and often thought that they were rather claustrophobic, almost basic choices to have a wedding evening party. But seeing this venue and its wedding marquees in Bristol completely changed my mind. Read the rest of this entry »

Why is it, in Peter Kay’s exact words that at weddings, fathers always feel the need to bust out the official ‘dad dance’ in the middle of the room!
Many of times, I have been to weddings where the father of the bride has been up there grooving with the ‘dad dance’ moves on the dance floor for all to see. It never fails to amaze me how the dance remains funny no matter how many times it’s repeated! Read the rest of this entry »

My fiancé proposed to me in the autumn of last year. We had saved for months for a holiday to New York so the proposal came completely out of the blue. But it was a lovely surprise!
We have booked our wedding which is in six months time. It has flown by, I can’t believe how much there is to organise in so little time! Read the rest of this entry »
