For some reason I started to become a lot more interested in my family's past when my now husband and I got married. I have quite a small immediate family and I have never really though about our heritage and origins until I started to think about starting a family of my own.
I decided that after the wedding I would start looking into my family's history, but first I had a wedding to plan! We decided to get married in my partner's home area of the West Midlands and because I'm not from around there I needed some help finding a venue for the big day. I was so pleased when I found www.civilweddingvenuesbirmingham.co.uk, a directory that lists all of the civil wedding venues in the area. it was so helpful and I was able to find the perfect venue within a few days.
The wedding was perfect and when I got back off of our honeymoon I immediately started looking at my family's history but I found all of the research a bit overwhelming. My friend suggested that I talk to www.familytreenorthampton.co.uk and I am so glad that I did. They did all of the research for me and I was so interested in what they discovered.

My now husband and I have already been living together for fifteen years, so when it came to our wedding presents there wasn’t really anything that we needed for our house. We had a think about whether there was something that we could get for our home that wasn’t the usual bed linen or toaster and we decided to ask some of our nearest and dearest to chip in for a solar thermal heating system for our home. We have also been very environmentally conscious as a couple and this was a great chance to get a system that could heat the water that we needed by harnessing the sun’s energy. We got our system from www.airsourcescarborough.co.uk and they were incredibly professional and helpful.

Although I told them not to, my parents have been going crazy renovating their house before my wedding takes place there in Spring. I have always wanted to get married at my family home because it holds so many happy memories for me, but I barely recognise it now with all of the building work that’s going on! My Dad insisted that they have to get a new gate made by www.irongatesromford.co.uk in case we get any wedding crashers. I told him that it was unnecessary and ridiculous, but I have to admit that the new gate is lovely. It was made especially for their house and it looks great.

I tried to be laid back about all of omy wedding plans, but I knew that i wouldn’t budge on two things, I wanted to get married in my hometown in the Scottish Borders and I wanted my cake from www.weddingcakeslichfield.co.uk. Lichfield is where I met and fell in love with my husband, so we had to have something special from the town where we first met for the occasion.

When my sister and her fiancé decided to tie the knot, they knew exactly what they wanted from their wedding, right down to the last detail. I wondered how they would ever get the day organised, and when they asked me to be their maid of honour, I felt quite stressed about it all. I needn’t have worried, they found everything they needed at the touch of a button! For example, my brother-in-law is a car enthusiast, and had a specific American classic car in mind to drive them from the church. We all wondered how on earth he was going to find what he was looking for, especially as they had only left themselves six months to organise everything! But he discovered
http://www.americanweddingcarhirekent.co.uk and got exactly what he wanted.

My wife was incredibly fastidious when it came to our wedding planning, but I was given two jobs: finding the photographer and find the entertainment for during the meal. My wife had already booked the band for the reception, so I had to think about the kind of music that people would want while they were enjoying their food. I remember going to a wedding in Yorkshire where there was a fantastic violinist who played an amazing range of different songs, so I called the groom from that wedding to ask who it was, and he said that their entertainment was from www.weddingmusicleeds.co.uk. I met with the violinist, and he was really friendly and helpful. He helped me develop a play list that was perfect for our wedding.

I never thought that I would be able to have my dream job as a wedding planner, but here I am and I love it! I have been planning weddings for people up and down the country for a few years now, and I counldn’t think of a job that I would enjoy more. Last month, I was arranging two weddings, one in Leeds and one in Bristol. The weddings were going to be very different, one was a traditional affair and the other was trendy and modern with the reception in a club.
My Bristol wedding was the traditional one, and I was lucky to find a great shop that sold a wide range of wedding accessories that I could get for the wedding, www.weddingshopsbristol.co.uk. They stock gorgeous wedding dresses and suits for hire for the groom and groomsmen. They completely saved my bacon because the groom lost his tie on the morning of the wedding, but luckily they had exactly the tie that I needed.

Arranging my wedding is something that I never gave much thought to before I was engaged, then it was all that I thought about! I found planning my wedding was very consuming, and I couldn’t sleep because I was worried about something going wrong, or thinking of something new that I wanted to add. I did a very good job at keeping all of my thoughts under wraps, and a lot of my friends thought I was being exceptionally calm. If only they knew! Life became much easier once I had organised key things like the venue and the flowers. I loved www.weddingvenuesgrimsby.co.uk from the first moment that I saw it. i knew that it was the right place for me, and my decision was made a lot easier when I met all the staff. I felt very reassured that they would do all that they could to make sure that the day went smoothly.

When I was 17, I was very silly and thought that it was a very good idea to get my then boyfriend’s name tattooed on my arm. Surprisingly, Tyrone and I didn’t work out, and two months after I got the tattoo we broke up. I decided to be philosophical about the tattoo, and see it as a stupid mistake that I made when I was too young to know better. My other boyfriends have never really minded, but when my now husband proposed to me, one of my first thoughts was that I would have to get rid of the tattoo before the bog day. I didn’y want to have to completely cover my arms, and I didn’t want people gossiping about who Tyrone was when I was getting married to a James! I looked into tattoo removal and found www.tattooremovaloxford.co.uk, an excellent company who managed to laser off my tattoo so that you can’t see it at all anymore. It’s such a relief.

My best friend is getting married this summer and I am helping her with all the arrangements. It’s great fun organising someone else’s wedding. We have spent a long time finding a company to make the wedding cake. After much research and talking to countless friends and contacts we have decided to use the services of www.weddingcakescarlisle.co.uk Read the rest of this entry »
