As we have gotten all, my friends still like having big parties, but the have become a lot more refined than the house parties of our youth. We would rather stay in a nice hotel than trash someone’s house! We decided to have a reunion in Bristol as some of our friends have moved to different parts of the country and the world over the last couple of years. I much prefer taking my holidays in the Spring, when there aren’t as many people out and about and there’s a bit more peace and quiet. My old school friend and I decided to take a break in the South West, and head to http://www.cottageholidayswoodbridge.co.uk/. They are such a wonderful base to have of you want to explore the area. We really loved staying there and took fantastic day trips in the area.

I ran in to my best friend from school at a train station three years ago. I was such a surprise to see her. We had lost touch after we left school, but we had been so close that we decided that we had to meet up soon. We arranged to go on a walking holiday together, and since then we have arranged to go on a walking holiday every 6 months. This time it was my go to find somewhere for us to go, and I decided that we should go town to Dorset. There are such beautiful places to walk around there. I don’t think enough of us really appreciate how gorgeous the scenery in the UK is. I have long been an advocate for holidays in Britain, and I love discovering new places to visit. The past couple of holidays I’ve had, I have been exploring the South West of England, and I have fallen in love with the Exmoor National Park. It is so beautiful. I was over the moon when I found that there were cottages that you could stay in inside the park. I have been in love with the sea ever since I was a little girl, but unfortunately I have always lived in Central England. My ambition in life is to buy a house by the sea, but until that happens, I’ll just have to be content with spending my holidays by the sea. I love the British seaside, and I would always prefer to go to Devon than venture abroad any day. I have been going to the seaside for my holidays ever since I was a little boy, and I feel a real affinity with the sea. Even in winter, I love walking along a beach and feeling the sea air. I couldn’t believe it when I got a letter in the post inviting me to my school’s 25th reunion. Had it really been that long?! I’m still in touch with a few of my old school friends, so I called them up to see if they were all going. ALl of them said yes, so I decided to arrange some accommodation where we all could stay. My son and daughter in law have just had our  first grandchild! It’s very exciting. They live in Dorset, and we live in Manchester so it is quite a journey down to see them. We thought that we would go visit, but I didn’t want to impose, so I decided to find somewhere near that we could stay (we also wanted to avoid any crying babies in the night!). My partner and I try to get away at least once a year. We don’ really mind where, as long as we get the chance to see something different and get away from everyday life for a week or two.
