I have always loved the idea of living in a renovated barn but I couldn’t find the right property until a couple of months ago when I found a listing for a disused farm in an acre of land. It was exactly what I had always wanted and I was adamant that I was going to get it. Luckily, the whole thing went very smoothly and the sale was completed really quickly. At the time I thought I had been very lucky but then I realised why it was pushed through so fast, there were a great deal of problems with the bran and the majority of the renovations were superficial. Starting up my own business has been completely exhausting; there’s just so much to do! I have never been someone with a flair for design, so I decided to get some help from some professionals to help me out. I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a big office when something happens to the electrics, but it can be pretty scary. When it happened in my office there was a huge spark, a crack and all the lights and the computers went off. It was a bit like something out of a sci-fi movie.

My wife never listens to me when I tell her that she can’t keep loading up the extension leads with more extension leads and more plugs. She’ll plug four other extension leads into the original extension plugs, and then load them all up. I don’t know how she finds all these things to plug in! The final straw happened when she plugged in the lights for the Christmas tree; everything went dark, she had blown several fuses. I am no electrician, so I didn’t know what to do.
