When I was growing up I always loved staying at my Grandma’s house. There were many reasons why I loved visiting her, but one of the biggest ones was the amazing bath that she had in her bathroom. It was a really old style bath with clawed feet and it was enormous. I loved soaking in the bath and always felt very sophisticated in it. When I moved into my frist house, I knew that I wanted my bathroom suite to be like the one that I loved so much.

I have always been more concerned with the quality of my clothes, rather than the label or designer, but you really do have to pay for quality. I like to invest in pieces that I know I will be wearing for years to come, but I still love a bargain when I can find one! I used to buy all of my clothes in high end shops on the high street, but that’s all changed since I found an amazing website that offers authentic designer clothing for men and women at unbelievably low prices. Even though the clothes are at great prices, they are still the high quality that you would expect from famous designer brands.

When I met my boyfriend, one of the first things that I noticed was how well dressed he was. He is always so well turned out, and really takes pride in his appearance. I can’t say that I’m the same… I have no idea what the latest styles and fashions are, and to be honest, I don’t even try to keep up with them! When it comes to birthday and anniversary presents, I tend to ask my boyfriend what he wants, but this year I decided to try and get him a surprise. I looked online for a website that offers men’s designer clothes from amazing brands at prices that I can afford. I found a great website that has loads of men’s clothes by designers that even I have heard of!

I love designer brands, but my bank manager doesn’t enjoy me spending money on all of the designer clothes that I love. I have always lived beyond my means, but with all of the financial problems that everyone is having, even I have had to tighten my Moschino belt. I was feeling very sorry for myself when I realised that I needed to be more careful with the money that I was spending on clothes, but I was still always on the look out for a designer bargain. Luckily one of my friends showed me a fantastic website that has the cheap designer clothing I want at unbelievable prices.

My friends and I are all at that age where the weight creeps on and it gets harder and harder to get off. While some of my friends just moan about it there are some who really want to do something about it: including me. A few of us have decided to try the cabbage soup diet. It promises to help you lose up to 10lbs in seven days, which sounds good to me. I’m something of an expert when it comes to making soup, so I may end up making the soup for everyone. I have a great selection of blenders which are tried and tested and make soup of the perfect consistency. Read the rest of this entry »

When I was little my nana used to take me to the butchers with her every Friday to pick a joint for that week’s Sunday roast. When supermarkets started to take over she still did this. She hated supermarkets, and refused to give up the service and the friendly banter you get at a local butchers. Because of that, I too always get my meat from the local butcher. The one back at home still remembers my nana going in, which is lovely.
When I moved to Ware, I was keen to find a butcher as soon as possible. As far as I was concerned my house wouldn’t feel like home until I’d made a roast, and for that I needed a good joint. I came across www.familybutchersware.co.uk fairly shortly after arriving, and decided that would be the butcher for me. Read the rest of this entry »

I am genuinely grateful to whoever came up with the idea of digital cameras. It’s so much easier to get brilliant shots of people when they’re completelty unaware when you’re not worrying about paying to get the photos printed out.
I was scrolling through the photos from a great girls’ night out a while ago when I fell upon a gorgeous picture of my best friend Yvonne and I. I thought immediately that it would be a great idea to get it put onto canvas for her birthday, so that weekend I called into www.canvasprintsbiggleswade.co.uk to ask about prices and things. Coming up to those dreaded Christmas months, I may appear to be a little on the Scrooge side. I like to buy people presents but hate it when you’re just buying for buying’s sake. And, let’s be honest, that’s what we all tend to do at Christmas.
It always seems to be a case of the children wanting the latest toys because their friends have them and the adults wanting something completely random too. The only thing I don’t mind buying is my Granddad’s socks as you know he will use them until their on their last legs!

My kids had been on at me for years to get a pet.
First they wanted a dog, but I said no outright as we live in a small house which does not have a garden and I thought it would have been cruel.
Then it was a cat, but I didn’t want the house stinking of litter tray all the time.
Then it was a rabbit, then a bird, then guinea pigs and then rats.
