Wedding planning is such fun

Thursday, May 10th, 2012

I love weddings and helping to plan other people’s weddings is such fun.  I am currently helping a close friend plan their wedding and we have been looking at wedding venues close to her parents.  We have chosen www.weddingvenuederby.co.uk

It’s an amazing place and will be perfect for the big day.  They offer such a great wedding service and really look after you, ensuring that you get exactly the day you want.  Planning a wedding can be stressful, but we know that with them it will be straight forward and hassle-free.

Wedding List

Monday, April 16th, 2012

When I proposed to my girlfriend last year I had conflicting feelings, I wanted her to say yes because I love her and spend my life with her, but a tiny part of me was hoping she would say that we didn’t need to get married and we could stay as we are. This part of me is the part that is a terrible dancer and terrified of dancing in public. I have never been known for my dancing prowess and I was more scared about the first dance than I was about the ceremony and speeches. My girlfriend knew how worried I was so she arranged for us to go to www.weddingdanceclasseskingston.co.uk for some help. I was a bit scared initially but the lessons really helped us to work out a dance that we could do without me feeling like an idiot.

Getting To The Church On Time

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

We had a very eventful journey on the way to my cousin’s wedding; first my brother forgot his tie and we had to go back and then one of our tyres exploded while we were on the motorway! Luckily it all worked out though because we had a spare tyre from www.tyredealershartlepool.co.uk. They offer really high quality tyres at affordable prices and I don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t had the tyre in the boot.

Accident Before Wedding

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

When another car crashed into the back of me the week before my wedding, I was devastated. It really shook me up and I was worried that my injuries would be too severe for the wedding to go ahead. Luckily the injuries were not as bad as I thought and I walked away pretty unscaithed.

I was so worried that I would have my arm or leg in a pot and I wouldn’t be able to wear the gorgeous dress that I chose from www.bridalshopsbournemouth.co.uk, but luckily that didn’t happen!

Wedding At Home

Monday, March 12th, 2012

I was so excited when my parents suggested that my fiance and I get married at their house. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of getting married at the house that I grew up in and not my dream was finally coming true. There is a really big garden at my parent’s house and I knew that it would be the perfect spot for the ceremony. the only problem was the tree at the end of the garden that looked like it had seen better days. I decided to call www.treesurgeonsbrighton.co.uk to see if they would be able to help. They were fantastic; they trimmed the tree and made it healthy again.

Keeping The Kids Occupied

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

I was so worried that my children would misbehave at my sister’s wedding that I decided to take matters into my own hands and make sure that they would be entertained and less likely to cause trouble. They are very good children normally but they tend to rebel in formal settings, especially when they don’t fully understand why they need to be quiet and well behaved.

They love toy trains so I went to www.modelshoplymington.co.uk to get some new toys for them. They have an amazing range of top of the range trains and I even ended up buying one for my husband as well.

Getting Grandma To My Wedding

Monday, November 21st, 2011

I have never been someone who dreamt about having a big wedding, all I have ever really wanted for my wedding is to have everybody who I care about there seeing me say my vows. My Grandma has had Alzheimers for five years now and it has been very upsetting to see her forget so many important things. I really wanted her to be able to come to my wedding but I was worried that she wouldn’t be up to it. She lives in a specialist nursing home that helps people who are suffering with dementia, www.nursinghomesdorset.co.uk, and she receives really excellent care. When she first moved there I was very worried that I would find it upsetting visiting her, but if anything, it made me feel better seeing her in such a friendly and caring environment.

Getting Married!

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

I am so excited about my wedding, I just can’t wait! My fiance and I have been planning our wedding for the past couple of years and it has been a lot of work. We decided to get married at a local hotel, but yesterday (a week before the wedding) we got a phone call telling us that the first floor of the hotel had been flooded and we could no longer use it. We were both devastated, but we knew that we had to find something quickly so that the day wasn’t ruined. With only a week to go, we had to really work hard to find the venue that we wanted. After looking frantically for a couple of days, my fiance suggested that we get married at his parents’ house. It is a beautiful house, but it needed a lot of work done before it would be wedding ready. First, we needed to sort out the outside. I called www.windowcleanersreading.co.uk to arrange for them to clean the windows and they left the house looking great.

Wedding Planning

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

These days, weddings can be so expensive! It’s sad that the romance of the day gets pushed aside sometimes when you have to consider all of the financial implications of your big day. I was so happy when my fiance proposed, but I wanted to make sure that we had the money that we needed before we committed to a date. We own a business together, so we went to see www.taxadvisorchelmsford.co.uk to see if they could help us release some of our assets and see what financial shape we were in. They were very helpful and supportive and were able to work out a financial plan so that we could have the wedding that we wanted without jeopardising the future of our business.

Wedding At Home

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Ever since I was a little girl I have imagined my wedding, but unlike other little girls, my dream wedding was a modest affair in the family home that I grew up in. I was worried that I never would be able to get married in the family home when my parents told me that they were planning to downsize in the near future, but luckily my fiance proposed to me just before the sale went through! My Mum and Dad wanted the house to be perfect for my big day, so they decided to redo the bathroom for the guests. I told them that it was unnecessary, but they insisted. They used www.bathroomdesignhorsham.co.uk and I have to admit the bathroom looks so much better now, the bathroom company did an exceptional job.
