My Grandma has always been the matriarch of my family and everyone always flocks to her house in Cardiff for her birthday celebrations every year. I was looking for a really great present to get for her seeing as she was turning 80, so I decided to go to sewing shop near where I live to see if they had any new patterns or nice wool that she would like. I have to admit that I don’t know anything about sewing or anything like that so I was really grateful when the staff at www.sewingshopsromford.co.uk helped me find something that she would really like. I have always been good at problem solving and finding out answers to questions. Ever since my family and friends found out about this, I have been inundated with requests and questions. My brother is one of the worst, he is always ringing me and asking me to do his job for him. He lives up in Aberdeen and I get a couple of calls a week asking me to source a company for him. I was so excited when my best friend told me that she was getting married in our home town of Harrogate. I live in Southampton now, so i love going back up North to see my friends and family. I have always wanted to run a bed and breakfast, and my dream is finally coming through! I love being a hostess, and I love the idea of it being my full time occupation. I have always loved furniture that has a history, and have become an avid collector of beautiful period piece furniture. I am always scouring the country for new pieces for my home, and last month I was overjoyed when I found a gorgeous oak cabinet in an antique shop during my holidays in Wales. My daughter has always wanted to be a make up artist, and I have supported her throughout all of the courses and training that she has done. Initially, she did a lot of training to be a beautician, but as time went on, she realised that she wanted to be more specialised, and just focus on beauty and special effects make-up. A couple of months ago she completed a really prestigious course in London, and I was so proud of her.
