Settling In

Friday, March 16th, 2012

Moving house was just as stressful as everyone told me it would be, but I think that I am finally settling into my new home. I had been living in the same house for twenty years and moved in when I was in my early twenties and didn't have very much stuff. Now two husbands and three children later moving certainly wasn't as easy as it was back then! The biggest help for me throughout the whole process was www.cheapskiphirereading.co.uk. I hired a skip from them and that was where most of my old stuff ended up… in the skip. In had to be ruthless because there was no point moving if I was just going to create the same house in a different location. I wanted to decorate the house differently and make it a new home for my children and new husband.

When we got to the house the unpacking was time consuming but we all felt very satisfied once it was all finished. I was just about to put a wash on with all of the dirty clothes that we had been wearing for the move when I saw that the washing machine wasn't working. It was the last thing that we needed after a long and tiring day, but luckily www.washerrepairsrowleyregis.co.uk were able to fit us in. i don't know how they did it but they had the washing machine working fantastically within half an hour. Disaster averted!

Wood Burners

Clearing out our kitchen and living room has been an absolutely mammoth task. We didn’t realise how much stuff we had in our house until we started clearing it all out! My wife has the tendency to be a bit of a hoarder, but when we found out that we were expecting a baby, we needed to make some room in our cluttered home. There was so much stuff, that we needed to hire a skip to but it all in! One of our neighbours suggested that we go to www.domesticskiphireeastbourne.co.uk as they had a fantastic range of skips and always offered a friendly and professional service.

A Nice Reward

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

I have been planning on clearing out my garden for months now, but I just haven’t been able to find the time. I t was really frustrating me and everytime I looked out at my overgrown garden, I got a bit more annoyed. All of my weekends are taken up with looking after my kids, and I have a full time job, so I decided that I would take a couple of days off from work so that I could finally get the job done.

The garden at our house isn’t that big, but weeds just seem to love it. There were so many plants that I needed to uproot and get rid of, so I needed to hire a skip. I didn’t need a really big commercial skip, so I called www.miniskiphireyork.co.uk to find out about the options that they had available. They had exactly what I wanted at a really affordable price.

Skip Rental around the UK

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Clearing out my house before we had it renovated was such a mammoth task. You never realise how much stuff you’ve accumulated in your house, until you need to clear it out. We needed to get rid of everything we could before the builders and decorators started. At first we were just putting everything in bin bags, but after a couple of hours, we realised that we needed an alternative to all of the bags blocking our drive. I quickly got on the phone to www.skiprentalbelfast.co.uk to see if they could help. I have used them before and they always provide an excellent service.

Moving House

Monday, October 25th, 2010

I am moving house finally after months of waiting to find something else which was suitable. I have been renting a flat in Birmingham for the past year or so I would say now but choosing that flat was my regret! I have had nothing but problems with it from start to finish.

Firstly I arrived at the flat to find that the bath leaked onto the floor so I had to get the landlord to sort that out rather quickly. Secondary to that, mould started to grow on the walls of the kitchen which was quite a concern seen as that’s where I make my meals! Not the most hygienic of kitchens you’re probably thinking!

Anyway that’s by the by as I am currently looking at removals & storage in Birmingham as that’s my priority at the moment. I have found a website called www.householdremovalsbirmingham.co.uk which offers a prompt and reliable removal service. I only need my belongings moving from one property to the next so it’s not as if I have miles to travel or anything. (more…)
