Cleaning Operation

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

When my husband inherited a house from his Great Aunt we were both very surprised. She hadn’t been in touch for decades and my husband never expected to be the one who she left her house to. He felt quite guilty that she had been so kind to him and he hadn’t been in touch for such a long time. We decided to honour her memory by selling the house and making a donation from the proceeds to a charity.

Before we could sell the house we needed to complete some renovations, so we got in touch with www.flatroofingorpington.co.uk to see if they could complete the roof repairs. They completed the work really efficiently and to a really high standard, we were very pleased.

Childcare While We Work

Monday, February 27th, 2012

Our new house has proved to be a bigger project than we first imagined. When we bought the house last year we knew that it needed a lot of work and attention, but we were naive to think that it would take a few months… it’s already taken a year! I work part time so I have been able to get quite a lot of the work done, but we also have two small children so my time at home is dominated by them most of the time. It has become much easier now that we have found www.nurseryschoolskentishtown.co.uk, a great nursery that our kids love going to. With their help we have been able to get a great deal more done on our house.

DIY

Monday, February 27th, 2012

I have always been someone who tried to do as much as possible on my property myself. Over the years I have learnt a lot through trial and error and saved a great deal of money by doing the manual work myself. My last project was replacing the flat roofing on my sister’s house. I got all of the supplies that I needed from www.epdmroofingsidcup.co.uk and was so surprised by how easy it was to replace the roofing materials that were already up there. My sister is so pleased by the results and I will be adding roofing to my ever growing list of DIY skills!

Change Of Career

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

After working at an office job for ten years, I decided to make a change in my life and finally start working as a handyman. I have always loved DIY and have done some training courses in my free time so that I could become more skilled and professional. I have a lot of experience completing roofing work and have been helping all of my friends, family and acquanitances for years, so I thought why not just change my career. The first big job that I had once I became a professional labourer was repairing the roof for one of my former colleagues. It was a big job but I was really looking forward to it. I got all of my materials from www.fibrecementroofingmaterialsyork.co.uk and I was so pleased by the excellent range that they offer and their affordable prices.

Recommendations

Monday, November 7th, 2011

It’s so funny the tangents that you go off in conversations isn’t it? One of my best friends lives up in Scotland, and whenever we see each other we get so excited that we seem to have the strangest conversations. I suppose we’re just trying to catch up on everything that we’ve missed while we’ve been apart. Last time she came we ended up talking about the businesses that we would recommend, even though she lives up there and I live in the south of England. It was probably quite pointless but it’s good to know that www.roofingcontractorsinverness.co.uk are an excellent roofing company in Inverness. If anyone asks me for such a specific recommendation, at least I know I can help!

Roofing And Solar Panels

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

When I came back from holiday to find that my roof was leaking, I needed a company who could provide the roofing repair servicing that I needed as soon as possible. I looked online and was lucky to find www.roofrepairsswindon.co.uk, a professional company who came highly recommended. They came to my house in next to no time, assessed the problem and had it fully repaired. I was very impressed by their service.

Eco Home

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

I have been planning on building my new environmentally friendly home for years, but it has taken a long time to get everything organised. I have always been very committed to helping the environment and sourcing new, greener energy, so I knew that I wanted to get solar panels installed on my roof. I had already decided to have a flat roof as I have worked with www.flatroofingpeterborough.co.uk before and they always offer an exceptional service.

Renovations Before House Sale

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

I have been looking for a job for nearly a year now and I reached a point where I realised that I would take a job wherever I could get one. I was lucky to find a great job that was located in Colchester, so i decided to take the plunge and move away. I have loved living in Glasgow but in this economic climate, it’s really important to go where the jobs are. The first thing that I needed to do was repair my house so that it was in the best condition for a sale. I needed the roof to be repaired, so I contacted www.roofingrepairsglasgow.co.uk and they came and completed the work.

Renovation

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

When I first showed my husband a picture of the house that I was going to renovate, he lovingly referred to it as a shack. I saw more potential than he did, and I was determined to do up the house and sell it on. I thought that the house was a complete bargain, but my husband was dubious when he saw all of the work that needed to be done. Unperturbed, I set about planning the renovation. I have to admit that the list of things to do was very long, but I was still adamant that it would be worth it. The first thing that I needed to do was to make sure that the structure and the roofing was alright. I called on www.roofingcontractorspickering.co.uk, and they completed a very thorough survey and explained all of the work that needed to be done. It was a lot of work, but the quote that they gave me was very reasonable, so I agreed.

Roofing And Relaxation

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

It seems that something always seems to go wrong for me just before I am all packed and ready for my holidays! I had been excited for my trip down to Newquay and my stay at www.golfingholidaysnewquay.co.uk for ages, but I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to go when I found out that there was a serious problem with my roof. There seemed to be some strange leaks coming from it, so I called in www.flatroofingbridgend.co.uk to see if they could help me out.
