A Nice Reward

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

I have been planning on clearing out my garden for months now, but I just haven’t been able to find the time. I t was really frustrating me and everytime I looked out at my overgrown garden, I got a bit more annoyed. All of my weekends are taken up with looking after my kids, and I have a full time job, so I decided that I would take a couple of days off from work so that I could finally get the job done.

The garden at our house isn’t that big, but weeds just seem to love it. There were so many plants that I needed to uproot and get rid of, so I needed to hire a skip. I didn’t need a really big commercial skip, so I called www.miniskiphireyork.co.uk to find out about the options that they had available. They had exactly what I wanted at a really affordable price.

Weekend In The Capital

Friday, July 1st, 2011

I had a lovely break a couple of weeks ago in London. My sister lives in Chiswick, so I went to visit her for a few days. I am a very busy mum, so it was fantastic to have a bit of time just my sister and I, because we never really get to do it anymore. After a day shopping in the city centre, we headed back to her house to have a night in watching the telly. Neither of us could be bothered to cook, and my sister said that we should get a Chinese from a great take-away near her. The Chinese restaurants where I live aren’t that fantastic, so I was excited to see what the capital had to offer. We didn’t even have to ring, you can just order at www.chineserestaurantacton.co.uk. We got an absolute feast, and it was all delicious.

My Trip To Bournemouth… Eventually!

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

It’s something that has been said before, but it really is true that you shouldn’t put things off, they just get worse. My tyres have been in bad shape for a while, but I could never find the time to sort them out. I had planned to visit my best friend in Bournemouth for the weekend, but when I set off, one of my tyres blew! What a nightmare. I called my boyfriend in a panic, and he told me that he would take me to www.tyredealerswestlondon.co.uk so that we could get a new tyre. They are a really great company, and their deals were so fantastic that I decided to buy completely new tyres for my car.

Catering And Care

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

I have had so much to organise over the past couple of months, it’s been hard to keep up! I have been arranging a launch party for a company that I work for in Yorkshire, and I have also had the difficult task of finding some care services for my Mum who is in her eighties.

When I was looking through care companies, I tried to look as though I was looking for care for myself, as I thought that would make it easier to choose. My Mum is still very independent, and she really doesn’t want to leave her home, but I realised that she needed a bit of  help with the day to day running of things and the housekeeping. After a lot of research, the company that was the best available for our requirements was www.careservicesnorthwoolwich.co.uk. They are a fantastic company that really help people keep their independence and stay in their home. They have made a real difference to my Mum’s quality of life.  (more…)

My Brother’s Wedding

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

I was so excited when I heard that my brother was planning on getting married! He has been with his girlfriend for nearly ten years now, and they are such a great couple, I knew that the wedding would be fantastic.

I was even more excited because the wedding was scheduled for a month after my driving test, so I decided that if I passed I would set myself the challenge of driving all the way from Bournemouth up to the North East where the wedding was going to be. I had been learning to drive for 6 months with www.cheapdrivingschoolsbournemouth.co.uk, and I felt really confident that I would pass. My driving instructor has been so reassuring and supportive throughout the whole process, and I wanted to show how much I had learnt. Luckily, my confidence paid off, and I passed! I now have the long drive ahead of me, but I’m really excited.
