I have always been someone who tried to do as much as possible on my property myself. Over the years I have learnt a lot through trial and error and saved a great deal of money by doing the manual work myself. My last project was replacing the flat roofing on my sister’s house. I can’t believe that my little boy is going to ne 13 next week, time definitely does fly. I have planned a big surprise party for him with all of his friends and family at a town hall near where we live. I know that the last thing that most teenage boys want is to spend their birthday hanging out with their Mum, so I have a made a special area in the hall with game consoles for them all to play with during the party. Our new house is great, but we have had a couple of hiccups since we moved in which we had to get over. Our first problem was our computer connection. In my new role as office manager there are a lot of things that I am responsible for. Our company have been working from the same office and factory since the seventies. It is not the most pleasant working environment, so we decided to ask our CEO if he would invest in some changes to the buildings. We were all surprised that he agreed, actually, he was emphatic that we must get it done as soon as possible. I have lived on a farm for my whole life, so there are some things that I’m always a few years behind on, like computers. I rely on my tech-savvy nephew to help me out, but sometimes he goes a bit overboard and downloads far too many programs that slow down my very old PC. I was apprehensive about what there was to do on the farm, but when I arrived I saw that they was no shortage of jobs and chores.
