Getting My Affairs In Order

Thursday, October 6th, 2011

Having a child really changes your perspective on things as your priorities change completely. Before I had my daughter Millie, I was very materialistic and worried about how I looked constantly. Now, all I worry about is Millie! My husband and I decided after Millie was born that we needed to start thinking about our finances more, but we didn’t find the time to go and see a financial advisor until Millie was 18 months old! Finally, we managed to book an appointment with www.independentfinancialadvisorscolchester.co.uk and we went to talk to them about our finances. We were very impressed by their professionalism and the time that they put into finding the right financial solutions for us.

My New Baby

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

I have always been a control freak, but as you can probably guess, when I found out that I was pregnant, I became slightly more controlling! I wanted everything to be perfect for when my baby arrived, so I went back home to Northern Ireland to get the nursery furniture for my baby from a shop that I have always loved, www.nurseryfurniturestrabane.co.uk. They have gorgeous cots, and I know that I will be going back to them when I want to get clothing for my baby when she is older.

I have always wanted my children to be able to speak other languages, so when I was looking for a nanny to help out who could speak different languages. I found a great nanny, but I was having problems reading all of the correspondence that she was sending me, so I decided to find a translation company who could help, and luckily I found www.translationservicesedinburgh.co.uk. They have been great.

Much Needed Night Out

Monday, August 15th, 2011

This last year has absolutely sped by. My son was born 9 months ago, and I haven’t had a moment to rest since he was born, at least that’s what it’s felt like! I moved over to Northern Ireland when I got married, and I haven’t been back since. When my friend invited me back to Belfast for her hen do, I really wanted to go, but I was anxious to leave my little boy as I hadn’t been apart from him since he was born. My husband said that he would be fine, and I should go, but he works full time so I didn’t know who could look after Daniel in the daytime. I was telling one of my friends, and she said that she has used www.daynurserybirmingham.co.uk before and they were fantastic. I went to visit the nursery and I was really impressed with the nursery, I knew that daniel would have a great time there.

Bad Fall

Saturday, August 13th, 2011

I had a really bad fall outside of the supermarket a couple of weeks ago, and I had to have an operation on my hip that has meant that I can’t get round at home or look after my 18 month old daughter. It has been very difficult, but fortunately, I have received excellent care from www.homecareserviceseastbourne.co.uk. They helped me with day to day tasks that I have found really difficult to complete, such as my personal care and food shopping. I am really grateful for all of their excellent help.

Trip To Paris

Saturday, August 13th, 2011

I was so excited when my husband surprised me with a weekend away in Paris. I have wanted to go my whole life, and I couldn’t believe that I was finally going. My husband and I haven’t been away together since we had our son James three years ago. I was slightly anxious about going away, but I knew that it would be great to have a break together. My mum said that she would be happy to look after James, but she would be working in the day, so she would drop James off at www.babiesdaycareware.co.uk. We have used them before, and they are a great nursery. James loves spending time there.

Keeping The Kids Busy!

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

It has taken years for my husband and I to renovate our home. We bought it when I was 6 months pregnant with our first child, and now five years down the line, we have three children and our house is almost ready for us to move into! We are just completing all of the finishing touches, and the part that I am the most excited about is the wood burning stove that we have got from www.woodburningstovescanterbury.co.uk. I have always wanted one, and I am so happy that I can have one in our house. They make rooms so warm and cozy, and I love how they look.

Daycare nursery in Croydon

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

When my son was born a few years ago I loved the idea of having a few years off with him just to get him started in life and make sure I didn’t miss out on any of the important ‘firsts’.

But after a year of being a stay-at-home mum I decided I was ready to head back to work.

I only planned on going back part-time to begin with, but childcare was still going to be a problem, as my husband works full time and my family all live quite a way away.
