Meals on Wheels in Leeds
Wednesday, October 27th, 2010I’m a big fan of delivery services in Leeds anyway, but a new meals on wheels scheme has got me thinking about doing something similar for my Grandma.
Now my Grandma is one of these very in independent women who doesn’t like help from anybody! At 80 years old, she does her own cleaning, washing, ironing and cooking. And when I say cooking, her meals are delicious!
When I was younger, my Grandma was the one that always took care of my sister and I in the school holidays or whenever my parents just wanted a break from us! She was brilliant and catered to our every need. In essence, I want to do something similar for her.
I was reading up on meals on wheels the other day and found a website called www.mealsonwheelsleeds.co.uk. It came to me that the meals on wheels would be a fantastic idea for my Grandma not on a regular basis but maybe once a week as a treat. The services from www.mealsonwheelsleeds.co.uk are pretty flexible in that you can pre order the services as and when you require them. I thought that she could choose something lovely to be delivered once a week so she has something else to look forward to. (more…)
