Family Visit

Posted on July 28th, 2011 by charlie
When I moved to Edinburgh from the South of Wales, I promised myself that I would do all that I could to make sure that I saw my family and friends who were still down south as much as possible. I try and head back home as much as possible, but it’s great that Edinburgh is such a fantastic city to visit, as all of my nearest and dearest love coming to visit me up here. I was so excited when my sister came to stay with my niece and nephew, and I spent a while looking for exciting things that we could do. My nephew is 12 and my niece is 9, so I had to think of something that they would both enjoy. I looked online and found www.ghosttoursedinburgh.co.uk and decided to book a tour of the city with them. The tour was fantastic! It was just scary enough to spook the kids, but not too scary that they couldn’t sleep at night. We had a really enjoyable weekend, and I was sad that they had to go, but I know that I’ll be back down to Wales and seeing them all very soon.

Rewarding My Hard Work

Posted on May 23rd, 2011 by charlie

I have been working really hard over the past year, so when my accountant at www.taxreturnscambridge.co.uk said that I had made record profits, I was very pleased and decided to reward myself. I am a very keen golfer, but my work has meant that I can’t get out onto the golf course as much as I would like. I thought that the best break that I could arrange following my profits, would be to go to some of the world’s finest golf courses in St Andrews. I have always wanted to go there, and I’ve been told by many of my friends that they beautiful courses are definitely worth the trip.

Getting my car’s MOT done

Posted on May 18th, 2011 by charlie
It’s all go at the moment and I’ve so much to do – at work and at home.  My car was due it’s MOT last week and I asked around for a good garage to take it to.  I am always wary about getting charged for work that is not needed as I know very little about cars and how they work.  Thankfully a friend recommended www.MOTtestingstationsaberdeen.co.uk and I am so glad they did.  I had my car MOT’d: it was it’s first MOT.  Nothing needed doing apart from something very minor and I was so pleased.

Family Reunion

Posted on May 10th, 2011 by charlie

Some of my family live in Canada, so we very rarely get to see them. Every year they either come and see us in Scotland, or we fly over there. This year it was their turn to come to us, and it was great because they were staying with us around the time of my daughter’s 4th birthday. We decided to plan a bit of a family reunion and a big party, so we looked into hiring some great entertainment for the day. I had heard about  www.bouncycastleedinburgh.co.uk from a friend, so I called them for more information about the bouncy castles that they had on offer. They’ve got loads of bouncy castles available, even ones that adults can go on! I was so impressed that I decided to book one for the kids and one for the grown ups!

Technology These Days

Posted on May 9th, 2011 by charlie

I’m not a technophobe, but with all of these changes with technology, I do admit that I find it very hard to keep up! When we moved offices, my PA said that she thought that we should get some big screens in the reception area for our clients to watch while they wait. I thought that it was a great idea, but we realised that we need to get a new digital aerial installed in the building so that we could have the channels playing that we wanted. Thank goodness for my PA, she got in touch with www.digitalaerialsglasgow.co.uk, a great company who managed to get the new aerial installed and working in next to no time. The TVs have made a real difference to our waiting area, and I definitely think that our clients appreciate them.

Wedding Crisis!

Posted on May 5th, 2011 by charlie

Planning a wedding is not an easy thing to do, there is so much to arrange! When I first got engaged I was really excited about the planning process, but as time wore on it all seemed to wear a bit thin and I wished I had a professional wedding planner to help me! I felt like I had spent hours searching the web looking for the best companies to help on my special day, and I had finally got around to making some decisions and booking the venue and the photographer when my laptop broke! It was such terrible timing. I never realised how much I releied upon my laptop until it stopped working. My initial though was ‘well I’ll just look online for someone who can help’ but of course I couldn’t. I called my friend in a panic and she said that I had to call www.computerrepairlivingston.co.uk. Luckily she had their number in her phone so it was easy enough to get in touch with them.

My Son’s First Year At University

Posted on April 27th, 2011 by charlie

When my son told me that he was planning on going to university in London, I was so surprised. He has always wanted to go away, but I thought that he would stay in Scotland at least! I decided that if he was going away we would have to get a picture of him with his brothers and sisters that I could keep to remind me of the good old days when all of my children still lived at home. I asked my friend who had just had some pictures taken of her baby, and she suggested that I go to www.familyphotographersglasgow.co.uk.

Sash Window in Edinburgh

Posted on March 14th, 2011 by charlie

I have always loved old houses and all of the features that come with them. When I decided to move into my own flat in the city centre, I really wanted to find a building that still retained some period features. Luckily, because of all of the beautiful old buildings in Edinburgh, I was able to find a flat that was perfect for me in next to no time. I adore sash windows, and this flat had them! The only problem was that some of the windows weren’t opening properly, so my new landlord got in touch with www.sashwindowedinburgh.co.uk. They are a company that specialise in sash windows.
