I always think it’s funny how different your idea of life is to how it actually turns out. I would never in a million years have thought I would end up running a haulage firm in Glasgow.

I kind of fell into the role after my dad passed away suddenly. It turned out the ownership of the business he had built up for his whole life fell onto me. Since I was a kid I’ve always dreamed of being a baker. I know it sounds a bit corny, but I always enjoyed baking, and I loved the idea of having a little shop and getting my regular customers coming in for their bread and cakes every day.
