Ever tried punting?

Hopping on a punt along the River Cherwell is a pretty common pastime for residents and tourists alike in Oxford. Except maybe round by the bottle neck of Magdalen Bridge, it can be very peaceful and tranquil as you pass by the meadows and colleges.

Just how popular is Oxford?…and flying to Edinburgh

Whilst I blogged about Oxford Airport and new destinations back in July, it’s probably worth mentioning the new air route from Oxford to Edinburgh, commencing on Monday 1st March.

Which means it will take only 90 minutes to get to Bonny Scotland compared to the usual 518 hours it takes by car or on the train (not including the inevitable changes).

I don’t know whether you’re like me, but I always feel as though I don’t make the most out of Oxford and all it has to offer.
