Citroen servicing in Northampton

Posted on February 7th, 2011 by sam

I’ve never really worried about where I took my car for servicing. I figured that one garage was as good as any other where my old banger was concerned. I must have been to seven or eight garages with it.

When I got my new Citroen Saxo, however, I became very precious about it. I only wanted to take it to specialist garages so I could make sure I got the right parts, and only the best people would be looking after my car. I found www.citroenservicingnorthampton.co.uk online. Read the rest of this entry »

Vehicle Hire in Northampton

Posted on February 3rd, 2011 by charlie

When my brother told me he was getting married I was over the moon! When he told me that he would be getting married in a remote part of Scotland that is very hard to get to by public transport I was still very excited, but then he dropped a bombshell… he and his fiance had their heart set on a cake from his favourite baker in Northampton, and he wanted me to drive it up to the wedding. I don’t own a car so I needed to find a vehicle hire company that offered the range that I needed and a car that would be able to keep the cake in excellent condition. I looked online and found www.vehiclehirenorthampton.co.uk, who have an amazing range of cars on offer. I told them what the car was for and they said that they would find the perfect car for my task.

Family trees in Kettering

Posted on February 3rd, 2011 by sam

When we were clearing out my grandad’s house after he died we found a whole load of papers about his family telling us information we’d never known before. It sparked a huge interest in my mum and me and we decided to start looking into the family history.

We spent time in the library looking back at censuses and trying to find mention of the names we found in local history books and things, bur eventually it got a bit much. We wanted to dedicate a lot of time to discovering the family history, but we couldn’t. We decided to hand the job over to a company which had time to take the job on, so we gave it to www.familytreekettering.co.uk. Read the rest of this entry »

Office furniture in Northampton

Posted on February 2nd, 2011 by sam

It was a huge shock when we had a break in at work. The office had always been so safe and secure before, and then one day we arrived to find the place ransacked. Most of the chairs had been cut open and the tables had been broken in two. It was horrible.

We’d always had a fairly relaxed atmosphere at work, but all of a sudden the mood changed. I decided the way forward would be to completely change to office with new furniture and decoration, so it didn’t remind us of the break in. I contacted www.officefurniturenorthampton.co.uk to see what we could get. Read the rest of this entry »

Aerial installation in Kettering

Posted on February 2nd, 2011 by sam

My old housemate was always very anti-television for some reason. There hadn’t been a TV in the house when we moved in, and he’d always been very much against getting an aerial installed. I tried to change his mind but eventually decided it wasn’t really worth the hassle.

When he left and another tenant moved in I decided it was time for change. I needed to be able to take part in the discussions my friends were having about their favourite TV shows. I contacted www.aerialinstallationkettering.co.uk and asked them to come out and fit an aerial for Sky. Read the rest of this entry »

PC repair in Northampton

Posted on February 2nd, 2011 by sam

My kids grew up in a time when computers were part of their everyday lives. Where we had blackboards at school, they had interactive whiteboards. They were using Powerpoint by the time they were leaving primary school.

Given all that knowledge you would have thought they would have some idea what was going on when the computer at home crashed last month. Alas not. Instead they just got very restless as it meant they wouldn’t be able to chat to their friends online or anything while the computer was away being fixed at www.pcrepairnorthampton.co.uk. Stoves and fireplaces in Northampton

Posted on February 2nd, 2011 by sam

The weekend that my fiancé proposed to me was the most romantic weekend of my life. He whisked me away to a beautiful log cabin in the Forest of Dean. We spent the weekend walking and taking in the gorgeous scenery and the evenings in the our cosy cabin snuggled up by the fire. He proposed on the Sunday morning after bringing my breakfast in bed with the ring on the end of the fork. Beautiful.

Since we returned I’ve wanted to recreate that romantic atmosphere in our home in Northampton. It’s fairly nice and cosy as it is, but I thought a real wood burning fire would add that extra something. I searched around for a while, but it was only when I came upon www.stovesandfireplacesnorthampton.co.uk that I found what I really wanted. Read the rest of this entry »

Heating engineers in Northampton

Posted on January 28th, 2011 by sam

If there’s one thing they teach you in the Scouts, it’s that you should always be prepared! That’s why I make sure I get my boiler serviced in the summer, so that I won’t have any problems with it once the cold weather arrives. I’m able to sit snug, warm and smug inside my warm house while others are making emergency calls to plumbers at silly hours of the morning when their boilers pack up.

When I lived in Bristol I had a very reliable heating company, which I’d been using for years. I was unsure who to go for when I moved to Northampton, so I found www.heatingengineernorthampton.co.uk and thought I would give them a go. Read the rest of this entry »

Cheap Furniture in Northampton

Posted on January 27th, 2011 by charlie

Furnishing a house on a budget proved to be a lot tougher than I expected. I really stretched myself when I bought my dream house, but I didn’t even consider the fact that I didn’t have the money to buy the furniture for it! I trawled my local shops to no avail, everything was just too expensive. I was telling one of my friends about my woes when she suggested that I have a look at www.discountfurniturenorthampton.co.uk. They specialise in providing the furniture that you want at an amazing price. I wasn’t sure what type of look I was going for in my new home, but with the range that they offer, I was completely spoilt for choice.

County’s true grit to keep roads moving

Posted on January 26th, 2011 by charlie

Pre-planning and grit storage in Northampton helped the area cope very well with the adverse weather conditions that the country experienced this winter.

Arctic conditions and inches of snow in the area has meant that a lot of grit was needed to clear the icy roads, but the foresight and grit storage in Northampton has resulted in 6,000 tonnes of grit being left in stocks.
