An Unconventional Wedding
Friday, December 10th, 2010When I was growing up I never wanted the whole white wedding thing. When my friends were talking about the enormous gowns they wanted and the flowers and things, I was talking about the purple dress I thought I wanted and the wood that I dreamed of tying the knot in. The food was another thing I wanted to be different.
So when my boyfriend James proposed I got to work planning the original wedding I’d always wanted. I booked a vicar who would bless the wedding in the woods near to where I grew up, sorted a brilliant dress, and got a friend’s band to agree to play for us on the night. The only thing that perhaps didn’t fit with the theme was the wedding cars that we had. My husband is a real car fanatic, and I decided to surprise him on the day with an amazing vintage car from www.weddingcarsgreatermanchester.co.uk that would take us to the reception venue. (more…)
