My daughter is obviously the apple of my eye and all of that, but she is so disorganised! I can’t even attempt to count how many time I have had to arrange things for her. It wouldn’t be so bad, apart from the fact that she is 32! When she told me that she was planning to move house I told her that I was too busy to help, and she would have to find a company to help with the removals. When my brother and his wife broke up, he had nowhere to go, so I said he could move in with me. I had a good sized spare room and the flat really was too big for just one person. I inherited a house around two years ago now. To be honest, everything about it was unexpected so I was quite taken aback with what to do with the property itself. I have been considering extending my house for a while now. The current property that I live in with my husband is really nice and done exactly to our taste so ideally we would love to stay there rather than move and have to do it all again. Well to be honest, that’s probably my laziness coming through more than anything!

I am in a bit of a dilemma at the moment. I have been renting a flat for the past two years from a really nice lady who had been living in Australia with distant relatives. After my Grandma died recently, I’ve been trying to help my Mum sort out all my Grandma’s things. Previously, I’d never realised how difficult the grieving process actually is from sorting the funeral to then sorting out the everyday things.

I hadn’t realised that these days, people were actually bartering on rental prices. My own flat has been up on the market in a few letting agents in Bedfordshire (Luton to be precise), and all I get are enquiries which come well under the amount on the advert.
