Tiles in Luton

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

For a while now I’ve been considering getting some new tiling fitted for my bathroom. As a male, I’m often convinced that I should be taking on the tiling challenge myself and performing more masculine tasks. So, I suppose here is my chance!

Everybody seems to know people who specialise in certain things. For example, my uncle is brilliant are doing manual jobs and fitting bathrooms whereas me on the other hand, am a liability! Saying that, I’m a dab hand at gardening and he isn’t so its generally swings and roundabouts!

Back to the point, my uncle has told me about a website he found called www.tilesluton.co.uk which is a good example of a company dealing with quality tiles. There are apparently many companies like www.tilesluton.co.uk which offer a full service…fitting as well! (more…)

Kitchen Installation in Luton

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

I am very excited this week. We are finally getting our brand spanking new kitchen fitted after waiting so long!

It’s funny how it came about though. We weren’t even considering getting a new kitchen but my wife went online to find loads of companies with lots of modern designs and layouts like www.kitcheninstallationluton.co.uk. (more…)

Property Maintenance in Luton

Friday, August 27th, 2010

It suddenly dawned on me the other day that my house has become a little shabby. I haven’t noticed it before but its probably one of these things whereby you don’t notice for ages and then all of a sudden you realise your house has got the better of you!

I don’t know what happened. I always used to be so good at keeping up to date with my house but recently, it appears to all have gone to pot! I guess it’s the same old situation where one thing after the other becomes more important than the last! Either way, I probably need to do something about it or I’ll be living in a pig sty in a few years time! (more…)

Garage Door Repairs in Luton

Friday, August 6th, 2010

I have only this week returned from a week long holiday in the Canary Islands. The boys that I used to work with and I go away every twelve months for a bit of a catch up and relaxation week – women free!

This year we decided on the Canary Islands as it’s normally a case of one year holidaying in the UK then the next year we go abroad. It’s always great to get away anyway but especially as I’m recently single. It was a well needed break! (more…)

Roof repairs in Luton

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

It is always a worry when you find a slate on the ground. The immediate reaction is to look up quizzically and try and work out where it came from.

Naturally our first thought is to hope it is from the neighbour’s roof. (more…)

Property maintenance for landlords Luton

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

My tenants had made a right mess of the flat. I should have known better than to rent the flat to students.

I needed to sort out the flat quickly, so I could get some rent in to cover the mortgage. The lettings agency told me about a nice, professional couple who wanted to rent exactly the type of flat I owned, but who needed it asap. (more…)

Garage Doors In Luton

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

My sister just bought a garage door for her boyfriend for his birthday. Seems a little bit of an odd present to me but he is car mad (probably to the extent that he loves his car more than my sister?)

He was so pleased with his new shiny remote controlled and alarm fitted garage door that I was surprised he didn’t ask her to marry him there and then. (more…)

Electrical Contractors in Luton

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Whether its mortgage lenders, letting agents or insurance companies, they all seem to be very overzealous (probably rightly so) when it comes to having all installations tested and certified.

A bit like looking for a needle in a haystack, I had to find a company that would be happy to come and look at my tiny tiny flat in Luton that I wanted to rent out. I could only really find massive companies that seemed more focused on totally rewiring whole buildings. (more…)
