When he went away last month, I decided that I would go out for a ride on my own. Big mistake. I didn’t realise how reassured I felt with my husband riding his bike with me, until he wasn’t there. I came to a crossroads too fast and had to let go of my bike and roll off. Thankfully no one was hurt and the bike hit a bollard and stopped. I was really lucky to walk away from the accident unscaved, but my bike, however did suffer some damage.
