Surprise Party

Posted on August 18th, 2011 by charlie

I have to admit that I am slightly obsessed with my car; I think I have spent more money doing up my car than I have renovating my house! My girlfriend thinks that it's a bit ridiculous, but I love my car so much, I hardly even try to defend myself. I was devastated last month when I found a scratch on my car. I had parked it in a multi storey car park, and when I came back I immediately saw the scratch along the left side. I was so annoyed, but I was looking for an excuse to have my car resprayed in a slightly lighter shade, so maybe this was a blessing in disguise. I went to www.spraycoatingtoddington.co.uk as they have a fantastic reputation. they did not disappoint, and my car looks even better now.

To make up all of the time spent on my car, I tried to get back in my girlfriend's good books by planning a surprise birthday party for her. She loves the 50s, so I planned a 50s themed party for her. mI got the invitations printed at www.graphicprintersharlow.co.uk. The invitations were perfect, and she was so surprised by the party. I think I made up for my car obsession with the party!

Guitar lessons

Posted on May 18th, 2011 by charlie

My eldest son is mad about music and has gone on about wanting guitar lessons for a long time.  We finally decided that we should do something about and so for his birthday we contacted www.guitarlessonslewes.co.uk and we are so glad we did.

Our son is already playing the guitar like a semi-professional and he’s only had a few guitar lessons.  He is talking about starting a band with his friends.  It will be great to see him on stage performing and having a good time.  He is fairly shy usually, but learning the guitar has given him a real confidence boost.  We wish we had done something about guitar lessons sooner.

Off to a wedding overseas

Posted on May 18th, 2011 by charlie

I’m off to a wedding overseas and wanted to get my hair done before I go.  I fancied having some highlights, which was a completely new thing for me.  I was a bit nervoous, so wanted to find a good hair salon that could help me.  I contacted www.unisexhairsalonluton.co.uk and they were fantastic.  My hair looks amazing.

I have had so many good comments from friends and relatives.  They say I look so much younger, which is a real boost to my confidence.  I am sure I will look good at the wedding now.

Talking about the wedding, I need to sort out my transport to the airport.  I am using a company I have used lots before and which is really good.  This is http://www.airporttransferstansted.co.uk

It’s so exciting to be going to a wedding overseas.  I cannot wait to get there and enjoy some sunshine and fun with all my friends.  It will be a great laugh.  You never know I may meet someone too.  I have been divorced for a couple of years now and it\’s time I met someone new.  I am ready to enjoy myself!

Home security

Posted on May 11th, 2011 by Sandy

There have been a few break-ins in our area of Luton recently and my wife has got a bit edgy about being in the house on her own: as I work away from home a lot.  We have a dog, which should help put her at ease.  However, we have discussed the issue and she says she would feel better if we had electric gates fitted.  Quite a few of our friends have had them fitted and say they make them feel more secure.  They have all recommended www.electricgatesluton.co.uk Read the rest of this entry »

TV Addict Reformed

Posted on May 3rd, 2011 by charlie

I have to admit it, I am a complete TV addict. My girlfriend says that she still cannot believe how much television I watch. When we first moved in together she was very vigilant (some would say mean) about the amount of television that I watched. I felt like a teenager again! I just think that because I lived on my own before I lived with her, I got so used to having the TV on for background noise that I didn’t realise how much I watched. I think I also just find the background noise soothing, as odd as it sounds. After a couple of weeks of me moaning about the TV rules, she finally gave in, and said that I could finally have control of the remote again. Instead of taking this truce and being happy, I decided that it would be a good time to invest in a better TV and aerial system. I called up www.aerialinstallationluton.co.uk and asked them if they could install my new 45″ TV.

Accountancy And Nursing Recruitment in Luton

Posted on March 11th, 2011 by charlie

I was very sensible when I chose my career, I have a degree in Maths, so I decided to be an accountant. I managed to get a job straight after university, and all of my accountancy training was paid for. Then the recession hit, and as one of the junior accountants, I was one of the first to be made redundant from my accountancy firm. It was very difficult, but I was lucky to have been able to get all of my accountancy exams funded. I did some freelance work, but I much prefer working in a bigger business. After trying on my own, I decided to see if a recruitment agency could help. I looked online and found www.accountancyrecruitmentluton.co.uk.

Building Insurance in Dunstable

Posted on March 11th, 2011 by charlie

There are so many things to think about when you start your own business, it can all become a little bit overwhelming. I have wanted to open my own small sandwich shop for a couple of years now, but I have only just managed to get everything sorted and all of the capital together. After arranging all of the health and safety certificates, buying the equipment and hiring the staff,  realised that there was something I had forgotten, buildings insurance. It is so important to have, especially after all of the time, effort and money that I have invested into my shop. The thought of anything happening and not having insurance to help me out is terrifying! Luckily, I got a great quote from www.buildinginsurancedunstable.co.uk.

Conference rooms in Luton

Posted on March 7th, 2011 by charlie

I have recently started working as a Personal Assistant for a motivational speaker who tours the UK helping people start their own businesses. The biggest part of my job is arranging and booking the venues and promoting the seminars. There are a lot of people who are really interested in getting some advice about starting their own company, so sometimes the most stressful part of my job is not finding the attendees, it’s finding a venue that will be suitable. They are quite high energy events, so it is important that there is a lot of space but also places where people can relax during breaks and lunchtime. When we were heating to Luton, I decided to try out a conference centre that I had heard great things about: www.conferenceroomsluton.co.uk.

Take Away Food Delivery in Dunstable

Posted on March 2nd, 2011 by charlie

Sometimes when you’ve had a bad day or you’re really tired, all you want is a take away. I tend to be pretty healthy, but once a week I treat myself to a pizza from my favourite take away, www.takeawayfooddeliverydunstable.co.uk. They have such a great range of take away food available, and I always like to try something new every time I go there.

Prestige Homes in Luton

Posted on March 2nd, 2011 by charlie

Looking for my ideal home was more stressful than I imagined. I looked with loads of estate agents, but I just couldn’t find what I was looking for. I have always wanted a new home that no one else has lived in, so I can make it completely my own. I started looking for new housing developments, and luckily I came across www.prestigehomesluton.co.uk. They have the most amazing homes for sale, and I met with them to discuss what I was looking for. They said that they had a great range of houses that met my criteria, and they called me the next day to arrange when I could go and see them.
