I never thought that I would find the house that I have always wanted in such a short period of time. I have lived in London for 20 years now, and I have only just taken the big step and found a flat to live in on my own. I have been in shared houses and lived with friends for years, but I think that now is the time to have my own space and independence. We planned on only having two children, hence why we had a three-bedroom house. When baby number three came along, and we couldn’t afford to move, we decided we were going to have to have the loft converted in order to make another bedroom. It would mean sacrificing some of the storage in the house, but it would be doable if we were smart enough about it.
