A new look for shopping in Hull

It looks like shopping in Hull could soon be getting another facelift after the announcement that the Princes Quay shopping centre has been sold.

Plans for development include two large department stores and up to 60 new shops, as well as a potential “Quay West” development including a new hotel in Hull and leisure centre in Hull.

Hull City of Culture

So my scepticism shone through when I wrote back in December about Hull being a City of Culture… and it seems everyone was right in their belief that it would never happen.

We’ve been knocked out of the race, with the four cities still in the running for the UK’s first City of Culture 2013 being Birmingham, Derry/Londonderry, Norwich and Sheffield.
