Looking after your property

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

I have a few properties in the UK which I keep as investment properties.  I let them out and while I don’t seem to have much trouble with them there can be issues from time to time.  For instance, a property I have in St Ives: a beautiful part of the world, had a problem with its trees in the garden.  One was deemed as dangerous and I needed to get a tree surgeon to look at it for me.  Thankfully I knew about www.treesurgeonsstives.co.uk (more…)

Residential Architects Mayfair

For the past week or so, I have mainly spent my time researching into architects in Mayfair. My husband and I have been saving for months, (possibly even years) to try and renovate our house and get an extension built onto the side of it. (more…)

Architectural Drawings in Doncaster

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

Our lovely family home has always been a little on the small side. I suppose my Husband and I never imagined that we would end up having a family as big as we did and so the house seemed to always be full from the children being young.

My husband and I have decided to bring in architects in Doncaster to finally build an extension onto our home. We don’t want to move houses because this house has so many memories, yet we want the extra space for the grandchildren and for ourselves! In the back of our heads I suppose we have always wanted one but with the children, we never had the money to do it. Now it’s just the two of us, we are free to move in our own direction!

Property Developers in Maidstone

Monday, October 4th, 2010

For ages now I have been trying to weigh up the pro’s and con’s of getting a house built from scratch. My current property was just meant to be a short term spot whilst I got on my feet again after splitting from my first husband. However, as time flies by, I have ended up staying in the same house for the past three years now.

In the mean time I have bagged myself a new boyfriend (I feel like a teenager again!) and we are looking at getting a new house together. My boyfriend has a really good job and has worked for everything he has, plus I don’t do too badly either. Being from similar working backgrounds we really do ‘click’.

Anyway, my boyfriend knows a guy that deals with property development and the other day he asked us to go to his website at www.propertydevelopersmaidstone.co.uk. (more…)

Residential Architects in Maidstone

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

With a growing family and only one bathroom, I have decided I need an en-suite in our bedroom.

The queue to use the communal bathroom is a joke. My daughter seems to spend hours in there and my son leaves it in a bit of a state once he has finished grooming himself. (more…)

Industrial Property

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Despite what you read in the media about the property crash, it is still difficult to find an industrial property in Leeds.

I appreciate there are quite a few industrial properties in Leeds but finding the one that suits my needs is the hard part. (more…)

International Removals

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

I have had enough of the weather and the economy so I have decided to move abroad to start a new life.

You probably think I am a bit of a dreamer but I am moving to Majorca to run a bar on the beach. I know, I know, so many people have told me that a dream and reality can be worlds apart. (more…)

Finding affordable housing through housing associations

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Searching for a new house or flat can be daunting, especially in this economic climate, that is where housing associations can help by providing you with a range of affordable properties to let or buy.

For people who want to buy their own home, the Right To Acquire scheme helps people buy their property at a discount; some buyers may also be eligible for the HomeBuy scheme which helps buy a share of the market value of the property making it much more affordable.
