Dream Bathroom

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

I have always dreamt of having a boudoir style vintage bathroom in my home, but my boyfriend was very against the idea. When we broke up, I decided that now would be the time to finally get the bathroom that I have always wanted. I had a very clear idea in my head about what I wanted, I just needed to find a company who could make it a reality. I looked online and was really lucky to find www.victorianbathrooms4u.com. They have an incredible range of bathroom suites on offer, and I found the one that I have always wanted.

Bathroom installations in Hertford

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

I moved into my boyfriend’s after three years together earlier this month. He had been living with his brother before and the house was very male. It needed some serious feminising, not least in the horrible old bathroom.

The green, yes, green, suite nearly made me vomit every time I saw it. He couldn’t see the problem and thought I was being unreasonable when I put my foot down and said we needed a new one. Saying that he seemed pretty pleased when I found us one online for a really good price. Now we just needed someone to fit it. I called www.bathroominstallationshertford.co.uk to see if they could help. (more…)

Bathroom Refurbishment in Hinckley

Monday, September 27th, 2010

I have been pondering getting our bathroom refurbished for a long long time now! It’s just been one of those things which is on you’re list of things to do, but just never seems to happen! In our house, there is a lot of things that seem to take priority over the next.

But, the other day, I was having a bath and looking round the bathroom in the process. I couldn’t believe how bad it had got to looking! I mean, the tiles look so dated, they look like they could be vintage. Our bathroom furniture is definitely not pleasing to the eye, and having a carpet in our bathroom is meant to be unhygienic too. So, all in all, probably not the best bathroom going.

My husband is an electrician and whilst he’s good a manual work, I think doing our bathroom would be too much of a job alongside his other main clients. After he has had a big job on at the minute, we have some spare cash to finally spend on the bathroom and making it look luxury rather than lame!

Being a typical woman, I jumped straight on the internet and found a website called www.bathroomrefurbishmenthinckley.co.uk. I can’t tell you how excited I got when I saw all of the bathrooms that were available. Obviously, a lot of them were way out of our budget but it was definitely worth taking a look! (more…)

Heated towel rails in North London

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

My wife was desperate for me to redecorate the family bathroom.  As our kids were now teenagers, the bathroom had seen some wear and tear over the years, and my wife really wanted a haven from which to escape our hectic family life. No pressure then.  I wanted to decorate most of it myself with the help of our local plumber.

One of my wife’s requests was heated towel rails. As we live in North London, I searched on the internet for a supplier of heated towel rails in the North London area.  I didn’t get further than the first page of the search results, as there were several possible retailers. (more…)

Bathrooms in Staines

Monday, September 6th, 2010

I am finally looking at new bathrooms in Staines to replace the old tatty, pigsty hole that has become my bathroom! You could say that my bathroom has gotten a little worse for wear over the years. Since moving into the house, the bathroom has been the one room, which has never been touched. I remember moving into the house and both of us saying the bathroom was a major job to be done; five years on and the bathroom still remains the same!

Whilst I have been getting giddy about bathrooms in Staines and looking at all the extravagant purchases that come with a bathroom such as heated towel rails, a wet room, free standing baths and luxury showers, my other half has been taking care of the somewhat ‘boring’ side of the purchase. Bathroom Installations in Plymouth

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Ever since we got this house, around 20 years ago, we’ve had that same rugged, old fashioned bathroom. I honestly cannot explain to you how horrendous it is!

It has these green coloured, patterned tiles which look like something from the 1900’s and on top of that, the bathroom furniture slightly represents a mouldy yellow colour. Honestly, as bad as it sounds…it is! (more…)

Travertine Tiles for bathrooms

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

I was fitting out a bathroom for a lady who wanted a very natural but expensive-looking design.

I’d heard about travertine tiles and an interior designer friend of mine suggested I used a combination of light travertine, noce travertine and silver travertine tiles to create the perfect design. (more…)

Ensuite Bathrooms

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Finally we decided that the time had come to put in our own ensuite bathroom, strictly not for the kids. We employed a local builder to do the job and told him we wanted an adults-only, luxurious look for our bathroom. (more…)

Bathroom Furnishing Ideas

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

When you are considering improving your home one of the first things that you might think of is updating your bathroom, or adding an additional bathroom. Improving your bathroom will not necessarily increase the value of your home, but it can improve your chances of finding a buyer. Adding an additional bathroom or downstairs toilet can increase the value of your property, providing it is not done at the expense of a bedroom. If, for example, you have 5 bedrooms but only one bathroom, then converting one of the bedrooms into a bathroom can be a good investment. However, nowadays bathrooms are much less utilitarian and many people want an attractive bathroom for its own sake. If you have the money it may be worthwhile having your bathroom designed by a professional designer. Many companies offer not only installation services, but also bathroom design services.
