I had read with much excitement about all the advancements in solar energy and after hearing all the good things about it I decided to take the plunge and get solar energy for my home. I contacted www.solarenergyhertford.co.uk on the recommendation of a few friends and I am really glad I did.
I now have solar panels fitted to my home and I am looking forward to both reduced energy bills and to making a bit of money over the years. It's much kinder to the environment and I feel like I am doing my bit for the planet.
I have some other properties in Bishops Stortford that I am thinking about getting solar panels for too. First I need to clear out one of the properties there that I have just bought. I have been in touch with www.houseclearancebishopsstortford.co.uk and they have been a brilliant help. They are going to clear all the rubbish and contents and then I will be able to start refurbishing the property ready to let it out.
It is hard work having a few properties but it is a great way of getting a steady income and of investing my money in something for the future. It's good fun sometimes too as you get to know the people living in your houses. Some have become good friends of mine.

I have been living in a half finished house for over a year now and I have decided that 2012 is the year that I get everything done. When the cold crept in it made me realise that my life would be so much better (and warmer) if I had got a fire fitted months ago, but I was too lazy to sort it out. That's why I went to www.electricfiresbridgend.co.uk this weekend and finally got the fire that I have wanted for a long time at a fantastic price. I was so impressed with the showroom and all of the fires that they had available and all of their staff were great.
I have been making great progress arranging my house but I have to admit that I have become slightly caught up in it all and made some impulse purchases. One of the things that I bought which wasn't on my list was a hot tub from www.hottubslichfield.co.uk. It may seem like a silly purchase, especially in this weather, but it really is fantastic. When I come home from a long day at work and I want to relax, I just head back to my hot tub. It is so relaxing, I don't know what I would do without it!

It may sound slightly unusual but my husband and I decided to get each other home improvement Christmas presents this year; I got him a garage door and he got me oven cleaning services. We have both been talking about getting a new garage door and we decided that instead of paying for Christmas presents that we don’t really want and would have forgotten about by next year, we would use the money for presents to buy something useful and practical. I asked around to see if any of my friends could recommend any garage door companies and luckily one of my colleagues suggested that I get in touch with www.garagedoorrepairslancing.co.uk. They are a great company that have a really great reputation for offering a wide range of garage doors and excellent results. They were great and installed the new garage door in next to no time.

My new house almost looks exactly as I have always wanted it to, there are just a few finishing touches that I need to sort out. I managed to find a second hand washing machine that I got through a friend, I just needed to get some minor repairs on it so that it could be in teh best working condition possible. I called www.washingmachinerepairschelmsford.co.uk to see if they could help and luckily they said that they would be able to come and have a look. It took them next to no time to get the washing machine working perfectly and they charged a really reasonable price.

I have always dreamt of having a boudoir style vintage bathroom in my home, but my boyfriend was very against the idea. When we broke up, I decided that now would be the time to finally get the bathroom that I have always wanted. I had a very clear idea in my head about what I wanted, I just needed to find a company who could make it a reality. I looked online and was really lucky to find www.victorianbathrooms4u.com. They have an incredible range of bathroom suites on offer, and I found the one that I have always wanted.

My parents have become real perfectionists as they have got older. I’m sure they weren’t like that when we were all growing up. Everything in their house has to be perfectly in place and matching and co-ordinated. It would have been impossible for them to be that fussy when there were four children growing up in the house! When one of their dining room chairs broke recently, they decided to get an exact replacement made. They didn’t want to buy a new set because they were worried they would not match the table. They decided to enlist the help of http://www.carpentryservicesbridgend.co.uk. The company was brilliant and the very talented staff said they could actually just replace the broken section on my parents’ chair. It looked as good as new.

I don’t think it will be long before nearly every house you look at has solar panels on the roof! When we looked into getting solar panels fitted to our roof, I never really thought we would actually go ahead with the work. But when we found http://www.solarpvscarborough.co.uk I was really surprised how affordable it was.
I have to be honest, my husband and I were definitely more interested in reducing our monthly energy bills than saving the environment, but now our home is generating its own electricity, it feels good. It feels like we are doing our bit.

If you are revamping or redesigning your bathroom one area worth paying some attention to is the lighting. Bathrooms are wet and damp environments so some consideration of this is required when looking for a light fixture, however if you have just spent a small fortune on new bathroom furniture you really want the place to look great with well designed bathroom lighting.

We are a young family and while we would love to move house to somewhere bigger it is not really financially viable. We do need some extra space however and we decided that the best way to achieve this was by getting a conservatory. We looked round at a number of companies and the best by far were www.aluminiumconservatorieschesham.co.uk and www.timberconservatorieschesham.co.uk
We have spent ages looking at the different types of conservatory we can have and all the shapes and sizes that would fit on our house. We want it to be an extra room rather than a sun room, and want it to be a room we can use all year-round with underfloor heating. We have found these companies so helpful and they have spent so long with us helping us to choose the best conservatory for our needs.
Work is now underway on our conservatory and we are so excited at the thought of having a large new room to use as a dining and lounging area. The kids will love it too as they can use it when their friends and young cousins come round to play.
It seems we didn't need to move house after all. A conservatory was just what we needed. It will also add value to our house and more than cover the cost of itself.

I have a few properties in the UK which I keep as investment properties. I let them out and while I don’t seem to have much trouble with them there can be issues from time to time. For instance, a property I have in St Ives: a beautiful part of the world, had a problem with its trees in the garden. One was deemed as dangerous and I needed to get a tree surgeon to look at it for me. Thankfully I knew about www.treesurgeonsstives.co.uk Read the rest of this entry »
