Relax at a London Day Spa

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

I’m off to London over the summer this year as a change from our usual trip abroad. The rising costs of going abroad combined with the nice weather predictions for the UK have swayed us to holidaying over here for the first time in years.

Although a very different trip from our usual beach destinations, I am looking forward to the change and to experiencing the London culture first hand!

I’ve been doing some research on the tourist attractions and have a growing list of where to go and what to visit. However, whilst I am accepting to the fact that this is more of a city break than a holiday, I am still hoping for some indulgence along the way!

Having trawled the internet for show tickets, day passes and information guides, I cheekily added Day Spa in London to my list of to do’s! (more…)

Looking at what spas have to offer

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Many times when I have been on holiday my hotel complex has got its own spa but for some reason I don’t always get round for a visit. Sometimes the price puts me off with the presumption that because it is part of the hotel it must be over priced and sometimes I think I can visit a spa at home so why bother on holiday however I never get round to it when I’m back!

Romantic relaxing city breaks

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Most people think to take a romantic city break you need to go to Paris or Venice however there are places here in the UK that can give you the romance and relaxation you need. If you’re looking to treat your partner then a stimulating city break would be an ideal treat which they would be truly grateful for.
If you travel by train there are many great cities to go to other than the capital such as Manchester where you can enjoy a variety of activities to enjoy, for the shopaholic you will find within a square mile you can splash out on designer pieces or dive into a shiny shopping centre and shop to your heart’s content. For those looking for some culture Manchester has plenty to offer with urban culture trails, art galleries and museums and the John Rylands Library. If you wish to relax, Manchester massage centres offer a great way to unwind in state of the art spa’s where you will be looked after by full trained and qualified staff.

Enjoy a relaxing ‘Staycation’ in the UK

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

During 2009 many people in the UK chose to take a ‘Staycation’ or ‘holistay’ rather than travel abroad for a holiday, with most major UK airports showing a drop on the number of passengers who chose to holiday abroad, with such a great choice of places to visit here in the UK it’s no surprise.

If you are struggling for gift ideas for a friend or loved one why not treat them to a day spa visit: they will love you for it.
We all live such stressful lives nowadays that any down time is precious and giving someone the gift of a day at a spa, or perhaps a treatment at a day spa, is a good way to allow someone to totally switch off, relax and unwind.
