Pampering

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

I have always been someone who enjoys treating themselves, and I look for any excuse to head to www.beautysalonswalsall.co.uk for the latest beauty treatments. They always offer a fantastic service. I had a big charity dinner to attend, so I went to see them for a facial and a massage. All of the beauty therapists are very professional and friendly.

A relaxing day out

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Since having my baby I have been finding life very stressful and I am constantly tired and agitated. Although I love her very much it is always a relief when I get a minute to myself to relax or sleep! I started to notice dark circles under my eyes and my skin looked pale and tired. I had never had a facial before so I wasn't sure what to expect when my friend recommended http://www.environtreatmentsnorthlondon.co.uk/ but I went along the next day and had a lovely time. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and made me feel very comfortable.

My facial was so relaxing I fell asleep! The creams they used felt great on my skin and I even purchased some myself to use at home. I left feeling completely relaxed and my skin felt lovely and smooth, my friends commented on my face the next day saying I had a healthy glow. I will definitely be going to World Of Beauty By Katy again, I have already booked myself in for a massage next week, it's a great excuse to get out of the house and I return calm and stress free.

Beautifying Myself

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

One of my best friends is getting married next week, and I have decided to use it as an excuse to get a lot of beauty treatments done! I love being pampered, and I thought that now would be as good a time as any to have as many treatments as I can. I feel a bit guilty sometimes when I treat myself to facials and manicures for no particular reason, so when it’s for a special occassion, I really go to town! I have always loved www.beautytherapistsedinburgh.co.uk, so I decided to book in some neaty treatments with them before the wedding. I want to look myself, so I have had a facial and massage already, and next week I am going for a manicure and a pedicure. I’m also going there for some waxing treatmments, but I’m trying not to think about that!

Male Waxing for Charity

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

So I’ve been roped into having some male waxing in London for my works summer charity event. Where on earth do I start!?

This year we are raising money for a local children’s hospice. All volunteers got given a forfeit whereby the sponsor money raised goes to the chosen charity.

I am pleased to be doing something for a good cause but must admit, I am petrified at the thought! I am usually a mans man so this has caught me completely off guard! (more…)

Brazilian Waxing London

Friday, August 6th, 2010

From being a youngster, I have always been a bit of a tomboy. I loved playing all kinds of sports and taking part in national competitions. Twenty years on and I still enjoy exercising up to three times a week, my passion being mainly for swimming.

Recently after a friend wanted to join me in my most recent quest to stay fit, I jumped at the chance for some conversation to try to pass those gruelling lengths by.

We got chatting and soon came onto the topic of bikini lines and the best way to keep them unruly and hair free. My friend gets a Brazilian Wax in London once a month and swears by the fact that me as a tomboy should do the same! (more…)

Facials in London

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

The upcoming summer months are probably a time for all of us to shed those winter blues and get some spring back in our steps.

For months now, my body has been subjected to cold if not freezing weather conditions, which without a doubt has left my skin feeling dry, pale and quite frankly, unsightly.

If we are to believe the concept of global warming inclusive of colder winters and warmer summers, it is time we began to unravel the secrets to preparing our skin for all season climates.

To begin my transformation from pale to precision, I booked myself in at a Day Spa in London. What better way to indulge than a trip to the capital City! (more…)

Ever considered waxing?

Ever considered waxing?

Bad news – it hurts. Which stands to reason given you are pulling hairs out.

So is it worth it? Whether it’s a back wax for the boys or a bikini wax for the girls, hundreds of us endure the pain on a regular basis. (more…)

Get summer ready

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

The sun is shining and spring is finally in the air, so now is the time for all of us to shed our winter shells. Our skin probably isn’t looking in tip top condition after been covered up all these months and is probably quite dry and pale from the cold icy weather and lack of sunshine and will need some TLC to get it into tip top condition for summer like a visit to a beauty salon or spa to enjoy a nice sauna in Edinburgh!

Get ready for summer

Monday, March 15th, 2010

If we believe the weather forecasters, this year is going to be a scorcher.  After a winter of layering up and wearing lots of warm clothing it will be something of a relief to be able to get the summer clothes out and, if we are lucky, opt for just a t-shirt and shorts if we choose. (more…)
