Shops, clubs, pubs, community groups and restaurants in Harlow have been asked to take part in St Clare Hospice’s lastest fundraising campaign. The ‘Fill a Tin in February’ fundraiser is trying to raise £5,000 that will contribute to the Hastingwood hospice’s £2.6m annual running costs.
On Sunday, thousands of local residents enjoyed a festive day of fun as the Harlow Christmas lights were turned on by the stars of 2010’s Playhouse pantomime. This year, Harlow was the host for a wide range of amazing festive events, including Father Christmas’ glo-stick parade, stunning fireworks and exciting funfair rides. It was a great start to the Christmas season and meant fantastic business for the great range of shops, cafes and restaurants in Harlow.
