Comet to create 80 new jobs in Harlow

There will be a surge in recruitment in Harlow following the electrical retailer Comet’s announcement that scores of new jobs will be created in the area. 80 new jobs will be available at the large Edinburgh Way site as the company seeks to centralize its service operations.

If you are interested in opportunities for recruitment in Harlow, the vacancies will be in the areas of administration, inventory control, engineering and warehouse work. It is part of a UK wide strategy that aims to make the company more efficient. Comet’s Managing Director, Hugh Harvey said that he hopes the move would solidify the electrical retailer’s 16 year commitment to Harlow.

Harlow Council maintenance contractor gives pupils a taste of the world of work

Pupils were given a glimpse into the world of work with a recruitment in Harlow work experience scheme set up by Harlow Council’s maintenance contractors Kier Harlow.

Five pupils from the Stewards School were given the chance to discover the day-to-day workings of the firm in the Kier Insight Programme. Kier are responsible for services such as grounds maintenance, pest control and housing repairs for the council.
