This freezing weather has been playing absolute havoc on the old plumbing in my house. For three nights I have been woken up by the frozen pipes clanging and banging for hours. Builders in Bishops Stortford are a bit tricky to find. I am looking at getting n extension built onto the side of our house as we love the house, love the location and love the garden, but we could do with an extra room added onto the property.

With the house market struggling at the moment, we figured that it was better to add value to our house, rather than have to start again all together at a new location.

We arranged for our building firm to come and give us a quote for the work we wanted doing. And, all I’m going to say is that I am glad that’s all they were doing seen as they turned up an hour late and looked like they had been out on the lash all night! Enough said!

My house is in desperate need of some TLC. I can’t tell you the last time I updated anything in the house or even decorated for that matter.

I noticed the other day that I seem to have a blockage of something building up in my gutter.  When I was leaving home, it was pouring down with rain but the water was just coming up over the side of the guttering which I’ve heard is a sign that there is a build up of rubbish in the gutter.

When you think about it though, it’s probably very common that gutters become blocked up. There are quite often birds up there leaving droplets of food around as well as different plants and moss adding to the rubbish too. Seems almost inevitable that gutters will become blocked when you think about it in that way.

I have been looking at getting a new carpet for some time now. The carpet in my bedroom is horrendous. I really don’t know how I even let it get to that point. You can see the underlay underneath!
