Carpet suppliers in Harlow

My husband and I had wanted a dog since we first moved in together, but as we live in a flat it hadn’t been practical to ever get one. When we moved into our house one of the first things we did was go to the shelter and look for a pet. We found a gorgeous little black mongrel puppy. We called her Shadow.

When we got her home it was amazing. She was so cute. She fell asleep in the box we’d set up for her, and snuggled up to us when we were watching TV later on. After a few weeks, however, when we started to to shut her in at night, she was a nightmare. She’d howl and cry all night. The bottom of the kitchen door was ruined from her scratching. One morning we went downstairs and she’d scratched and bitten her way through a huge chunk of the kitchen carpet. There was nothing we could do other than get a new carpet. Iconic Stortford store Carr and Bury leaving North Street

One of Bishop’s Stortford’s oldest businesses, Carr and Bury, is leaving the North Street home that they have been working from for 86 years. The famous family run haberdasher are relocating to Thorley in the new year.

Henry Collett took the reigns of the business from his father in 1994 and has decided to move the business’ location and focus due to the decline in the dressmaking and drapery industry. The company will close its haberdashery department and will discontinue its ranges of knitting wools, ribbons and buttons. Carr and Bury will now focus on the interior design aspect of their business and will supply furnishings, blinds, curtains, high-quality fabrics and furniture in Bishop’s Stortford.

Local Hospice Needs Your Old Furniture
