I’ve always wanted to live in a house which has outdoor buildings. We have a shed and things, but I want a more permanent structure like an outhouse or a garage or a workshop or something. Until now, however, I’ve never really had a reason to use one, but a I recently started my own business making cards, I need space to do it.
I knew it would cost a bit to sort out, but I wanted it so much I was willing to put the money aside. I contacted www.constructioncompanycambridge.co.uk and got a quote for getting the work done. Read the rest of this entry »

My parents have had an old oak tree in the garden for years. It’s enormous, it must be hundreds of years old. When we were growing up my brother and I made a swing in it, and we used to climb the branches and sit up here chatting for hours.
Despite its size and the fact it was a little out of control it’s never been a problem, as we used it and loved it so much. When we moved out and my parents were left with looking after it, however, it became a bit too much. They decided to have to have it pruned by www.treesurgeonsincambridge.co.uk. When I went back to work after having my daughter, I didn’t realise how difficult it would be to keep my garden looking nice. I have always been a keen gardener but it’s hard to find time to look after it when you are busy. Rather than see all my hard work go to waste, I looked for a company who could help keep my garden looking good. My next door neighbour had someone who came round to tidy up from time to time, so I went to ask her who it was and she said that she used www.gardenservicescambridge.co.uk.

I don’t really fit in the world we live in today. When you watch the news and you see all the horrible things which go on, it should make you realise that there are some people in the world who are not very nice at all. However, I refuse to accept that people are not inherently good.
I’ve resisted the pressure to get a burglar alarm for that very reason. But when several people on my street had break ins and things were stolen, I thought it might be best to call www.alarminstallationscambridge.co.uk and see how muh it would cost to get an alarm put in. Most people don’t look forward to the whole moving process, but I really did. I felt like I was moving on with my life. I have recently got divorced and after my now ex wife moved out, I was still living in our old home. At first I thought that it would be fine, but as time went on I realised that it just wasn’t the same living in the house on my own. I also really didn’t need all that space for just me on my own. I decided that I would put the house on the market. The estate agents came to value the house and by some miracle it was off the market in a month. I had already found a flat to move into, I just needed some help with the removal process. My estate agent suggested that I contact www.domesticremovalscambridge.co.uk as many of her other clients had used them before.

Finding a reliable builder can sometimes be a bit of a task. I think that maybe I have been watching too many of those cowboy builder programmes! I needed some general building work for my house and wanted to find some builders who I could trust. I asked around and my neighbour told me about www.generalbuilderscambridge.co.uk. The wall at the front of my house was falling down and I needed someone to build a new one in its place.

When you walk into our office you could be forgiven for thinking that you’d gone back in time. It’s very dated and very old fashioned. Until recently we hadn’t been able to afford to get refurbish the office. A couple of months ago, however, profits were up, outgoings were down, and we had some spare cash to invest in the office space.
After we’d sorted out the carpets and got some new furniture in, we looked at getting some new office partitioning. I went to www.officepartitioningcambridge.co.uk to see what they could do for us. Read the rest of this entry »

From being very young I’ve had a desire to get involved in business. I didn’t really mind in what capacity at that time, but I knew it was what I wanted to do. As I was growing up I kept up with all the latest business news and things, and learned how to give myself the edge over my competitors so I could get the jobs I really wanted.
I decided that the one thing which would help no end would be to learn Japanese, as a lot of UK business is done with Japan. I turned to www.languageschoolscambridge.co.uk in the hope they would be able to tutor me. Read the rest of this entry »

When I was growing up my mum was a big fan of Ground Force, so it was on in the house all the time. Unbeknown to me it planted a love of gardening in me that would lie dormant until I was in my late twenties.
It re-emerged when I bought my first house. I was desperate for it to have a garden so I could potter about in it and make it look amazing. In the end, however, the house I ended up moving into had a big, but rather unruly garden. I knew I would have to do something as soon as I moved in so I called www.landscapegardenerscambridge.co.uk and got them on the case. Read the rest of this entry »

When I moved from my parents house into my own place, I didn’t realise just how ill-equipped I was to look after a whole house by myself. I had no idea what to do if a fuse blew, I didn’t know how to defrost a freezer, and tuning in a TV was something completely lost on me.
I managed to get my dad to help me with most of these things, but when the cooker broke when my parents were away on holiday I had no idea what to do. I found the number for www.cookerrepairscambridge.co.uk in the Yellow Pages, and called the company in desperation. Read the rest of this entry »
