When I found out that I was pregnant for the fourth time in as many years, me and my partner realised that we needed a bigger house. We really didn’t want to move, so we had the radical idea of adding another floor to our house. It is a detached house that was built in the seventies, and it has a flat roof that would be really easy to build on. The only problem that we faced was getting the planning permission for the work. I decided to get professional help, so I called up www.planningconsultantsmiltonkeynes.co.uk.

I got a job as the marketing manager for a charity in Hungerford a while ago. It was only a very small charity and they were only just coming around to the idea that they might need to put themselves out there, not only to let people know they were there to help, but also in order to get grants and things.
One of the things they were hugely lacking in was marketing material, so I contacted www.corporateliteraturehungerford.co.uk to ask about their services and their rates. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m going to say what most small businesses will not say. I hate spending money on advertising. The idea of paying out for something so intangible, which might not even work, is a huge problem for me.
Sometimes, though, you have to bite the bullet and go for it, however much you dislike it. A fellow butcher had told me about www.infoserveyahoolocal.co.uk, and said it had really worked for him. Read the rest of this entry »

There was no way to escape it; my driving school was in trouble. I needed to think of new ways to get my name out there and fast.
I went online to do some research on advertising as a friend had told me that Internet advertising would be the best way to attract new business. One of the first listings which came up when I searched for ‘driving schools in Luton’ was www.infoservesivs.co.uk Read the rest of this entry »

I have always been a Swansea FC supporter, and couldn’t believe that there was a way that I could support my local football team and get my business found online. I was at a Swans game last month when I got talking to one of my mates about the Infoserve Football Business Finder on the Swansea FC website. He said that he had used it to find a plumber in the local area and the directory was great because it provided localised results for people living in the area. He said he had stumbled across www.infoservefootballbusinessfinder.co.uk while he was looking up the stats on his favourite player.

With so many companies trying to get found by their customers on the Internet, it really is difficult to know what methods are going to effectively target the customers who are interested in your services. I only really work in my local area, so national advertising is pointless and also very expensive.
I started to research alternatives that would get my company found in the local area for the targeted people who wanted my help. I’m an electrician, and people only really look for electricians when they need them for a specific reason, so I needed to find the best way for people to find me when they needed my help. One of my friends is a plumber, and he said that he was having the same trouble until he got a listing with the Infoserve City-Visitor business finder. At www.infoservecity-visitor.co.uk your business is listed in a directory that gets 4 million visitors every month. It is one of the most popular business finders in the UK, so I thought that I had nothing to lose by investing in a listing with them.

I always thought that I was quite technical and I worked really hard on designing my company’s website. I was very pleased with the look and content for my website, but for some reason, I just wasn’t getting found in the search engines. I’m an independent financial advisor and I mainly work on the accounts of small and medium sized businesses in my local area. It worried me that I wasn’t getting any business from new customers because they couldn’t find me online.
I needed to take some steps to make sure that my website would get found in the popular search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Bing. I spent a while researching on the Internet to find out which sites were coming up on the first pages of the search engines for the services I provide, and that’s where I stumbled upon the excellent Infoserve KeySite product. A KeySite is basically a two page website for your company, but it uses SEO keyword methods to get your business found in the search engines. I chose three sets of keywords and three locations and in next to no time my KeySite was built. The service from www.infoservekeysites.co.uk gave me a professional looking website that got my business on the first page for the leading search engines for my specific search terms.

I have always been very ambitious and have pushed very hard to achieve my dream of opening my own restaurant. It took a long time, and I worked as a chef and sous chef in other people’s restaurants for years before I had the capital to launch the restaurant that I had always imagined. As I had worked so hard designing the menu and the interior and hiring all of the staff, I found it very difficult to relinquish any responsibility. I felt like I had to be in control of everything, but this wasn’t realistic or good for my health. During service on a busy Saturday, I fainted, and I realise that I couldn’t continue running myself into the ground as I had been doing. The first thing that I needed to outsource was all of my accounting and tax requirements, and my friend who I used to work with suggested that I contact www.taxadvicebelfast.co.uk.

I find taxes really confusing and complicated. It was bad enough when I was trying to organise my personal tax returns, but when I started my own company and I had to sort out the taxes for my business, I knew that I needed help. My sister has her own cafe, and she told me that she had received a great deal of help from www.taxadvicebridgwater.co.uk.

Having just expanded my hairdressing business in Cheltenham I thought it would be wise to have a chat with a tax advisor to see whether I needed to do anything to sort out the financial side of things because of the changes.
I contacted www.taxadvisorscheltenham.co.uk in the hope they would be able to pass on some advice about the situation and I found the information they gave me really useful.
